Okay never mind I figured it out.
Apparently, if you have someone in IR+, even if you have no one in either of the IR spots, it will tell you that you have too many people on your IR.
Yahoo, you are fucking stupid.

Yahoo, you are fucking stupid.
Is the person in IR or IR+ still eligible? They won't let you add anyone if you have a guy who came off the real-life IR still in those slots.
Was travelling all weekend and just saw the shit Curtis did on Roto. Fucking stupid and immature, thanks douche.
Going to try to reverse most of the transactions if I can. I know it's only 6 in the leauge but still completely screws everything.
What happened?
Sorry man, I didn't think it was going to be anything like that at all. I thought it was amusing but didn't think anyone would get pissed off about it. I legitimately thought it would make it more interesting.
Didn't mean to fuck anyone over, really. It's my first year doing fantasy anything, and I just don't really *get* roto. H2H is fine and I'd be happy even if I weren't doing well. I really just shouldn't have joined roto.
I decided to have a little fun with Roto, I dumped my roster and snatched up an entire team of Ottawa non-starters.
Apparently this is considered to be bad form. I didn't realize it was such srsbsns.
Anyway, I was sincerely not trying to fuck anyone over, if you don't want to believe me then fine.Spoiler: show
It's fine it just creates a power structure of "whoever noticed quick enough to grab the good players win the league." I'm sure you didn't mean to be malicious with it, sorry for the name calling.
In the future if you're going to quit let us know and we probably can have someone take over your team. We've done that a few times in the past with OK success. Also if you recall the Roto league didn't need 6 people so I didn't definitely pressure you to stayYahoo was the one we needed a 12th person for for a while, which is the one you left.
It's pretty clear why it's bad etiquette imo, as it just benefits whoever happens to notice or is on top of the waiver list. I mean, even just ignoring your team and not setting a lineup is bad etiquette in h2h leagues, because at some point you cared and tried to beat people. Then you stopped and people get "easy wins" the rest of the way. This means the people who played you early and possibly lost to you, are at a disadvantage to the people playing you when you stopped caring. This is not as pertinent to roto since by not setting your lineup, you would prolly fall to last in most categories but dropping yoru entire team is bad form cause clearly only Breg and I noticed(whether people just didn't check or were out of town or whatever) and set up a waiver pick up on your players, so we gained a pretty good advantage over anyone else. How would you feel if you still cared about enjoying the league and winning because you were first and someone just traded their 4 best players to the second place team, for nothing?
You could have just asked questions about roto, instead of "giving up" and then dumping your team cause w/e. The funny part is, you weren't even in a bad spot, you just don't understand how it works. You have far less games played then most of us and there is a limit people will hit eventually at every position. The fact that you aren't dead last by far in every stat, means you have plenty of games to catch up if you just pick up guys here and there to boost the stats you need or can move up in. Not knowing who would be a good rep? There is a player rater under the research tab that clearly tells you who is giving the most stats but you can also clearly see how many of each stat you get and what you could do better in, and just find guys who boost those.
Need Hits? Clutterbuck and Martin give tons of hits but suck at everything else. Balance is the best option so picking up Orpik or Despres might get you hits and other things that Clutterbuck and Martin don't give. Need FOs? Vermette and Malhortra win FOs, but clearly Vermette gets way more Goals,Assists,Shots, so he is the better option. It's not rocket science.
The only reason my team isn't currently in first atm is because I am dead last in every goalie stat but I have +22 games to play with and try to figure that out at some point.
If people are confused or unsure how to play well, just ask questions. I might not be willing to give you the perfect tips to beat me, but I can give SOME advice and tips so you can compete. Also, there are tons of fantasy sports sites that give plenty of free info on how to play in different formats.
Yea readding all his players he has a pretty damn good team. Crazy to give up, just ask for help.
you missed ryan miller btw
It's alright, I appreciate your consideration. You're right, I mixed up the two. I remember now that Yahoo was pissing me off with its signup services and wouldn't let me use my old account so I blew it off. IIRC now, you invited me to both ESPN and the Roto at the same time by accident or something, so that's why I ended up joining it.
I'll keep the players on ice when I can just so that it's not a tank.
I noticed he dropped his roster but I didn't pick anyone up because I wasn't sure how that would go, haha. The only player I really wanted off his roster was Toews anyway.
Edit: Annnnnnd I didn't wake up in time to move Seguin off my bench for his game against the Oilers tonight. Fucking 6 o'clock games, haha.
Is it bad etiquette to draft the entire 2008 Montreal Canadians? Cause Rata did that a few years back..... and I don't think he wanted help. He just wanted to field a fantasy team of the entire Montreal Canadians LOL And he actually did a good job starting them all. Just wanted his Canadians. Think he even had Georges Laraque on his roster.
Like half my Roto roster is Leafs, haha.
Here's his original draft results. Apologies but Yahoo archives updates the players to their new team:

Keep in mind this was when there was Lightning-Montreal trade rumors for Lecalvier.
I will at least acknowledge Rata was smart enough to go with Sid and also tried a sleeper pick getting a young Niskanen when he was still with the stars.
Wow, epic comeback by my team today, as Breg and I came down to one point. Hopefully no stat corrections..
