Islanders were pretty bad with or without Tavares last year.
I remember a super long losing streak midway/early last season with him in the line up.
They've just got way more depth on D and O and goalie upgrade.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Not sure what the Bruins did to anger the NHL's sked maker, but all 4 games vs. Habs this season come on the 2nd night of a back to back...

Islanders were hanging around till the break but yeah, they werent to good last year but that mostly feel on their goaltending. They looked good in the off season but getting their D fixed a few days before the season really made them a solid team over all.
