Spoilers aside, is that even an issue in the grand scheme of things? Fix your RMT problems, not .dat mining in a benchmark.

As a controller player this definitely worries me. I already play hybrid... Controller but also sit by keyboard for additional oGCD actions that I find it's faster to press with keyboard in between. Switching between hot bars can be a pain.
I remember seeing guides posted for automatically changing hot bars/hot keys when pressing a certain order of actions. Maybe something like this will have to be used on the player end as a work around. Thing definitely could get pretty hairy. I'm looking forward to new ways to spend Wrath stacks as a warrior though.
If only this game were complex enough for that to matter. Well who knows maybe it will be, but so far it isn't.
Controller master race
It's funny because the difference between Cage and our other controller player (no longer in the group) was day and "god when will it end" night. I only tease because I care :3
I'll be impressed when we have world first MNK clear (something) with a fightstick. Or NIN with a DDR pad.
I bet the fightstick could be done, honestly, lol.
Yoshi made a big deal out of it. It's probably fairly cleaned out but given the way this game works internally the benchmark WILL have a lot of "spoiler" stuff in it in order to give us that video, so for example models/skills/music will be present but it won't be as big as 2.0's, since yeah Doctor Mog kinda ruined the treasure hunt for us.
Were those individual LB that i was seeing? Or was i seeing individual limit breaks that had to be use in a certain order (ala skill chains) Im hopeful on the latter but that would be kind of cool though but unlikely.... Would be too much to expect of casual and younger players these days! Overall looks very good and looking forward to the expansion none the less?
Seravi you know when I play DRG I poop on everyone else anyway that are using mouse and keyboard. Don't just compare me to she who shall not be named but couldn't use controller properly!
I think fightstick wouldn't be that bad. Might just have to forego camera movement.
Edit: Digression - When the benchmark video got to the part with everyone spamming skills against that green coeurl/deer thing my first thought was "wow that enemy looks cool!" And then immediately after I said "looks like it's going to be wasted on a Zerg fest though".y u do dis SE. Seriously, massive groups of people serving enemies with no regards for mechanics is not fun, at all. See Hunts for ref.
Whatever developmental gymnastics they have in mind for adjusting ACN-SMN-SCH should prove to be entertaining at least.
If you squint about it, SCH pretty much behaves like the new jobs anyways:
-Starts at 30 when unlocked (albeit not a concrete rule for ACN>SCH given that you can unlock it later than 30)
-Doesn't have a base class (in the sense that ACN is SMN's base class role-wise, not SCH's)
They could easily just make SCH "it's own job" ala the 3 HW jobs and virtually nothing would change given that it has ACN's skillset anyways. Except maybe that SCH and SMN would finally have their own bonus attribute point pools.
Seravi, please get out of my head.
As I was making the previous post I was wondering if they'd break SCH off from ACN entirely and give it it's own complete 1-30 skill set like the new jobs.
Uh....there was no ACN-SMN-SCH in 1.0, or branching jobs.
I'd like to hear a definition of "heavily reworked" before we start going down this path. Could just simply be talking about how Spell Speed affects their dots, and maybe changed effects of a couple abilities. I'd be hard pressed to believe they'd change the job THAT much.
Edit for awful auto-correct.
I'm not one to take whatever Yoshi says at face value since he obviously tends to hype things up a bit. Warrior got a "heavy rework" but it still plays essentially the same.
And yea, ACN and it's jobs are 2.0 concepts just didn't pan out like they hoped or rather, they saw the complications that happen. Whatever they decide to do, I honestly hope they don't try to shoehorn more shit onto the pets unless they fix the general unresponsiveness of controlling pets.
It's been clear for a long time that they regret ACN's branching jobs, it means they can't adjust one without adjusting the other outside of the 5 job skills they're given.
I don't think they ever intended for SCH to be as powerful or versatile as they are, but that's what happens when you take a DPS and tack on 5 additional skills to let them heal as well.
