Ah well, it will still be nice to have several classes to lv 60, especially crafting, hopefully they aren't holding back Lv60 gathered items and crafts for weeks till alexander raid haha
and yeah 4 days in terms of FFXIV, is... very long (its the same for any MMO)
most people finished their "next relic step" in 3 days
I lvled nin from 1-> 60 in 3 days
In tera I lvled Gunner class from 1-> 65 in 3 days (and I had no idea where to go or what to do from lv 60-> 65, people that knew did it in 2 days I hear)
As mentioned, its mainly going to be for crafting/gathering getting those up to the cap, and geared. The best time to make an obscene amount of gil is when there is new content.
Nothing is going to stagger server loads. The only thing that will is for a real world week to pass for all of the no-life kiddies to go back to status quo. 1~3 days of early access will be completely botched by everyone flooding the Lobby and no one getting in. In fact, anyone on Primal Data Center is fucked right off the top for at least a week if they don't upgrade servers, lol.
Have they said anything about leveling 50-60? Fate grinds again?
Nothing outside of the fact that they said that lvl 50 ARR areas will be level capped to 50. I don't think we need a statement to understand the fact that Dungeons > FATE > Leves will more than likely stay status quo. That and the 51-60 carry through MSQ.
They might add some new sort of event for exp but it won't top what's already in place, IMO.
I think you mean current lvl 50 dungeons will be lvl capped.
So there's a glitch atm that SE announced it seems that if you set your preorder key as PS3 or ps4 and then register it on mog station some people are not able to play ffxiv at all
1) so if you have the PS3 or ps4 code but didn't register it on mog station : wait
2) if you already registered it on mog station and get the version check error while playing XIV
You have to uninstall and reinstall.
Pretty big flaw if you ask me
Dungeons are only faster... when fates have died down, considering its a new lvl cap coming and most likely fates... fates will be active again, and will be the fastest leveling method possible unless they boost exp from monsters to obscene levels.
Speaking of which, I'm a bit on edge of what to do because of that said fact, if I should use all my rested EXP to lvl gathering (which lvls the slowest of anything) or join the wave of fate zerg rush to Lv60...
I dug up the roadmap to see if it mentioned weekly scrips but it doesn't so there's still the (small) chance Early Access has an "unfair advantage" (the idea being the weekly reset is still Tuesday, so you'd get 2-3 days to cap via EA then a fresh reset on release; though in theory you might have four hours for regular release ppl too!)

It says Allagan Tomestones of Esoterics Available when Alexander Savage and New Frontlines Area open. So yeah, wont be able to build new Tomestones till 4 weeks after launch.
In terms of tomestone, I believe the only advantage early access people have would be to grind Allagan Tomestone of Law for the entry raid items.
Law = Soldiery
Esoterics = Poetics
Scrips are a separate currency similar to Allagan Tomestones which are used for crafting and gathering gear; it's been mentioned there will be a weekly lockout on a certain tier of Scrip as well. Like I said the "small" chance is based off the fact they didn't specifically state Scrips would be locked the same way Esoterics are.
Knowing Square, it's more likely it'll be locked for a couple weeks.
I hope they redo the Duty list for 3.0, because if HW is the same size of duties as 2.0 the list will become a clusterfuck
Yeah really. By 3.0 they should have added the ability to hide quests and or track them on the maps even if they're not shown on the list.
