no, just a JP screenshot. I just find it odd that with my current FFXIV + 8GB of heavens ward is 19GB, while that downloader pic shows 23GB. Even if you consider the notice on SE's page about 10GB (from the 8Gb we currently have), thats still a few GB off from 23GB.

look at the date of the build its pulling. 2014.05.27. Can't really be anything but a full client download.

Guess the JP client is just overall much bigger.

I'm willing to be a lot of data is being overwritten across the board (likely area textures, models, etc).

From no game at all to fully patched, the updater patches in stages from 2.0 base vanilla to 2.05, 2.1, 2.15, 2.18... etc. When this happens data textures get written and over written.

That client for example was in the process of installing patch 2.2. The interesting thing however is that it's installing that patch first.

Something interesting with the PS4 version. The game is at patch 2.97 after both updates if you ordered the digital upgrade.

Hopefully it's just a naming convention, but I'd check back periodically just in case they don't slip another download in there.

There is indeed another patch for the PS4 Digital release. It's approximately 2GB and needs to be installed after you install the Launcher (1.6 GB) and the first preliminary patch (4.7~ GB). It will prompt you with a disclaimer and an terms of agreement that you have to check off to before you can download it.

When I did a full reinstallation last week I had to download 15gb, so that plus the HW data would get the 23gb mentioned.

When I did a clean install on one of my servers (need another account so FC will have 4 people for airship crafting.. thanks SE...) yesterday, it was around 19GB. That account was made yesterday and wasn't registered with heavensward though.

There was already a topic on the official forums asking to be compensated for not being able to play during this maintenance. lol
