This just makes cross-class even more silly.... with new jobs having no classes it simply means that going forward we won't see any new option pop up. They really should just get rid of classes, it's the best way to fix all this mess and open up more options for players in general. They've changed the game drastically once in 1.0, they can do it again.

I did answer your question, but I suppose I'll spell it out for you. DRG is worse off enough that they don't beat MNK even during fights where the situations should favor DRG given the things they're "better" at.

I think you need to look up what the phrase "spelling it out" means, since this isn't it. But like I said before, DRG probably isn't that much worse off certainly not by any margin to call it a mistake and not nearly enough to even be slightly comparable to the 2.0 WAR vs PLD situation.

I dunno if the concept of self healing works with the trinity, either it's strong enough to allowed for extra DPS (would be kinda cool) or we just get WAR again. Not sure what's going to happen with no base class, but they did say they were revamping the armoury system for xpac right? Or something along the lines of changing how classes and jobs work.

Yes which is exactely why I was hoping they would have said something at the fanfest but alas it seems like they're only spreading out minor things.

Seems they might let DRK just use cross class skills from 2 classes from the beginning or they just make copies of the skills it would have been able to cross class like give it it's own version of Provoke.

SAM needs to be yet another Tank or the first job with 2 weapons GKT+BOW!

The only issue would be cross-class system, unless every future job just gets 2 classes worth of abilities. The best option would be to open up all the class actions to every job.

I'm so hoping this is part of the changes they plan to make come 3.0.

Or at the very least something half-way, maybe not unlock everything cross-class but not restrict to an arbitrary 2 classes either.

Ugh, I love drk, I still plan to play it but now I'm not sure i want to full time it because man, I don't want to full time a tank job. It's why I leveled but barely care about war and pld as it is, I just leveled them to give options to my fc, same with whm. Glad they are using a GS though, maybe I can gear it like a dps and just do that instead lol.

XI fags ruin everyone's experience. I have run into people who play SMN by thinking the pet should be doing everything, and SCH not even summoning Eos or Selen and just doing ruin. The day BLM became a WHM.
