About the ps4 thing. .I can confirm. Saw a copy for sale at target for 10$ bought it so my son can play. So upgrade to ps4 and even though I have it installed on it and I have a account in good standing I cannot use it because it is linked to his psn. So for me to add it for me to pay in both seems like I have to buy another copy.

He has his own. Trying to log in from ps4 in my psn won't even allow the game to boot. Jumping on his psn Bruns up login but id name is sold and won't let you change it.

Wow the rush to pre-order is insane. I haven't even thought about it but I'm certainly not paying out the ass for extras that aren't worth shit. I barely give a shit about the in-game items unless those are literally the only flying mounts in the game. But considering they aren't changing progression I doubt I'll be playing overly long unless everything else is amazing.

Nah, you'll be given a defacto flying chocobo at some point. This gives people a headstart on the mount end.

You know there won't be any sort of head start. Just like you couldn't use your collector's edition Coeurl in 2.0 until you'd unlocked the primary mount.

You know they will have some sort of "Flying Mount" license you have to unlock to be given permission to enter Ishgardian Airspace lest they shoot you down with Anti-Air Magic Missles.

They've made it really clear that there will be lots of flying mounts. I think they mentioned something like 8 at the London Fanfest.

We better have to go to the musketeer guild in LL at least once for unlock quest or other job quest or else I'm gonna be salty.

Well right, I expect job-specific gear won't be shared. Yeah, them switching to dexterity and not strength for ninja threw a wrench into it.

With a token system I think it won't be a problem if the sets are not shared. The problem of sharing gear would then just be limited to the initial release of Heavensward.

If it stays the same and they won't change the status quo with armor drops with regards to dungeons (and maybe raids?). I hope machinist shares the bard sets then. Them adding yet more job specific gear to inflate those pools even more is a distressing thought.

I expect that MAC will be retroactively added to BRD gear, as NIN was to MNK.

I think we are rapidly approaching the point of something like "Antique Helmet of Slaying" or "Antique Breeches of Aiming" endgame drops. The loot pools are already overwhelmed with DPS gear.

When they first said token I was hoping they weren't referring to the welfare tomes. Guess we'll have to wait and see, because fuck the chest RNG system with the lockout, especially if we'll be needing Alex NM gear to do Alex HM.

This is the only token system that makes sense.

They should make it a little more complex than that. Maybe have the boss drop a token, which you need along with other (easy to obtain) items to craft a super high tier material that you eventually trade in for an actual piece of gear. TERA had a pretty good system going for the Visionmaker weapons if anyone remembers that. It makes use of the crafting system and possibly gil, as well keeping gear somewhat semi-rare.

Would be even better if not everyone gets this token, too! Being able to gear everyone in the group every single week seems almost wasted considering this is supposed to be the hardest content in the game and there will undoubtedly be welfare gear upgrades as well. But I guess once you beat it once, then who gives a shit about any time after that.

I could see tokens being rewarded, but bosses drop a vintage chest piece, arms, legs etc. Just have to roll vs party to get it and use your tokens to unlock the item.
