There's a lot unusual about the story, but the dog isn't really what I'd flag. If I was a dog and someone tried to put a sweater on me in Florida, I'd probably go batshit and try to bite everyone too. "Fuck you guys! I have fur! I'm hot 10 months out of the year and now you're trying to put a sweater on me? *bitebitebite*"

Honestly i suspect animal abuse. The very reason pit bulls have their reputation is because of their fierce loyalty to their humans... so i find it hard to believe one would turn on its humans without some sort of abuse. Not counting the sweater.
