Anyone with a non-labor job still having to actually -go- to work in this day and age is increasingly frustrating to me. I metro in an hour to DC every day to do a job I could easily do remotely and via conference call.
I think I'm in the minority but I actually like waking up when it's still dark out and having the sun rise as you go about your morning.
I agree in principle and on a personal level but you'd be surprised how terrible a lot of people are keeping work and home stuff separate at focusing on work at home unless they manage to have an actual office dedicated to that. I mean granted a lot of those people are still somewhat terrible at work when their work doesn't block sites like bg... but not as bad
Commuting on an E-W route is just automobile Darwinism. Besides it doesn't matter if it's standard/daylight time, the sun will eventually rise/set in your eyes during commuting at some part of the year.
Aren't there cars now with smart-UV windshield glass or something? Maybe I'm thinking of a sci-fi movie...
But I feel your pain, there's a small bend on the Dan Ryan in Chicago that forces you to face East and whenever I'm driving out of town for work in the morning I get blasted - it's the worst because it's also a point for diverging traffic onto an expressway.
Yeah I don't get the sun in your eyes during commute argument. It doesn't matter it will happen at some point during the year no matter what. Or have a North/South commute like me and smile at the sun as you commute to work.
It doesn't happen to me during winter months. Really depends on length of commute and geography.

Probably but I doubt I can install one of those onto my bicycle
For some people maybe. For others there are a ton of factors that can effect this. I mean for awhile I was getting into work while it was dark and leaving after the sun had mostly set for most the year
