Seems like a lot of people are getting fooled into arguing bullshit in order to defend a culture war they claim to not care about while also lining republican pockets with money

I know pranks have involved livestock ("If at All Possible, Involve a Cow"), but sourcing a whole ass shark is kinda something.
she looks sane
Def a huge Joker vibe
Florida is the US hub of Russian corruption and right-wing crime. Pushaw has been an utter lunatic on Twitter for a long time and this is the most "that checks out" thing ever.
They're sentencing Nikolas Cruz right now for the Parkland School shooting.
Tldr: seems he could have gotten the death penalty, but didn't. Jury decided not to do it.

I haven't been following too closely, but kinda get that. He did a terrible thing but was also a fucking loon born of a wacky mom. Also death penalties are more expensive than letting people sit in prison.
Parkland kids also did a good job pulling the light off his personal failings and onto gun control. Shoulda not had a country where hormonal / emo teenagers can access serious weapons.
He really was a kid that fell through the cracks. I didn't realize this was going on until my BiL texted that today was the last day; the school is down the road and I'm curious what it looks like right now. I'm the minority opinion in town when I voice that we shouldn't kill this kid cause I always get weird looks for it; just let him rot in jail as a reminder while he peruses the library and sees a world leave him behind.
Also that's pretty much it for the death penalty right? Like if this doesn't warrant it, then what does? Just get rid of it and save all this red tape and delays.
abolish the death penalty
I have no empirical data on this, but it's my feeling that in the US and probably most other countries on the planet, more innocent people have been killed with the death penalty than actual guilty people. In addition to how in many countries the things people are put to death for even if they were guilty of the crime, doesn't match the crime at all (meaning what they did shouldn't have warranted being put to death at all).
I have had mixed feelings for several years but recently came down on the side of the state should not have the power to execute citizens.

I agree
The family of the murdered should be granted that choice and be given the honors.
my favorite was prolly when we executed a mentally retarded man with an IQ of 46 who was assuredly innocent (and fully pardoned 70 years after the state murdered him), executed on the basis of a coerced confession, and spent his time on death row playing with a toy train the warden bought for him
an absolute beautyWhile held on death row during the appeals process, Arridy often played with a toy train, given to him by prison warden Roy Best. The warden said that Arridy was "the happiest prisoner on death row". He was liked and treated well by both the prisoners and guards alike. Best became one of Arridy's supporters and joined the effort to save his life.
For his last meal, Arridy requested ice cream. Before being taken away to the chamber, Joe reportedly had not finished his ice cream and requested for the remaining ice cream to be refrigerated so he could eat it later, not understanding that he was to be executed soon and would not return. He was reported to have smiled while being taken to the gas chamber. Momentarily nervous, he calmed down when the warden grabbed his hand and reassured him.
