The Florida part of that story is that she told her motel her plan and still made it to shooting at cars
Pornhub in Florida now requires age verification. And I mean that in the loosest sense of the word, there is no ID check but it’s pop up basically saying you have to click this to acknowledge you are 18+
Didn't Pornhub and every other adult site already do that?
Depends on the state
MD already has it that way.
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...ity-rcna152515TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Climate change will be a lesser priority in Florida and largely disappear from state statutes under legislation signed Wednesday by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that also bans power-generating wind turbines offshore or near the state’s lengthy coastline.
Critics said the measure made law by the former Republican presidential hopeful ignores the reality of climate change threats in Florida, including projections of rising seas, extreme heat and flooding, and increasingly severe storms.
It takes effect July 1 and would also boost expansion of natural gas, reduce regulations on gas pipelines in the state and increase protections against bans on gas appliances such as stoves, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
DeSantis, who suspended his presidential campaign in January and later endorsed his bitter rival Donald Trump, called the bill a common-sense approach to energy policy.
“We’re restoring sanity in our approach to energy and rejecting the agenda of the radical green zealots,” DeSantis said in a post on the X social media platform.

RIP home owner insurance coverage for the remainder of Florida.
I guess I was imagining the storms that flooded the neighborhood in the past couple years when they didn't before. Cool cool.
I work in the electric power industry, and honestly the wind farm part of it is kind of a nothing burger. The wind isn't typically strong enough there for the kinds of turbines that are being used offshore, and nobody has had any interested at all in trying to put them in either on the Atlantic side or the Gulf side.
BOEM (the regulator for offshore energy Bureau of Ocean Energy Management) is the federal agency responsible for facilitating offshore wind, and they stopped any efforts in putting them in Florida in 2014. They have been very active in other parts of the Atlantic and the Gulf (a lot near LA for example), so I am cautiously optimistic about the future of offshore wind for the country.
The natural gas stuff is unfortunate obviously, but most of the rest of it is just posturing. Since DeSantis is pretty much universally hated at this point I'm not sure for what, but hey I don't try and rationalize meatball Ron.
DeSantis vetoed the left lane slow driver law. I hate that I agree with his logic from a legal perspective because I wanted this so bad.
DeSantis vetoed H.B. 317, which would have prohibited drivers from cruising in the left lanes of highways with at least two lanes and speed limits of at least 65 mph. The bill, which would have fined violators up to $158 for an offense, included exemptions for drivers who were passing other drivers, preparing to exit, turning from the left lanes or being directed to the left lanes by traffic-control devices.
"The language of this bill is too broad and could lead to drivers in Florida being pulled over, ticketed, and fined for driving in the furthest left lane even if they are not impeding the flow of traffic or if there are few or no other cars in the immediate are," DeSantis wrote in his veto letter.
The governor also said the bill could "potentially increase congestion in Florida's urban areas as drivers may decide to not utilize the furthest left-hand lane at all for fear of being ticketed."
Broken clock, etc
Imo black bears don't need any protecting at this point. They are well on their way to being a national pest at a scale that surpasses the dreaded wild hog.
Have at it, Florida man.
And we got our first round of lawsuits about the new sex worker age restriction law! Fucking LOL that it comes from Cafe Risque though, widely considered to be the biggest dump of a "strip club" in the entire state. It's basically a truck stop restaurant with topless servers.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — A 19-year-old and the club where she worked as a stripper have sued Florida’s attorney general and two local prosecutors to stop enforcement of a new state law prohibiting adult entertainment businesses from employing people who are under 21, claiming it violates their constitutional rights.
Serenity Michelle Bushey claims in the lawsuit that she lost her job at Cafe Risque in the Gainesville area after the law took effect on Monday since she is younger than 21. The purpose of the law was to deter human trafficking, according to Florida lawmakers.
The lawsuit was filed Monday in federal court in Tallahassee on behalf of Bushey, the owner of Cafe Risque and two adult businesses in Jacksonville. It seeks a permanent injunction stopping the law from being enforced, claiming it violates their First Amendment right to free speech and Fourteenth Amendment right to equal protection.
Besides Bushey, eight other adult performers who are older than 18 but younger than 21 are unable to work at Cafe Risque because of the new law, the lawsuit said.
“As with similar performers around the state, Bushey earned her living through her art while providing entertainment for the benefit and enjoyment of her audience,” the lawsuit said. “Plaintiffs have a clear legal right to engage in protected speech of this nature.”
The new law also prohibits hiring cooks, DJs, waitresses and security guards who are older than 18 but younger than 21, or even use workers in that age group from third-party contractors hired to perform tasks like air-conditioning repairs or carpentry, according to the lawsuit.
Kylie Mason, communications director for the Office of the Attorney General, said Tuesday that the office hadn't yet been served with the lawsuit but will defend the new law.
Her last name is Bushey
