I was in FL for Kennedy launch and heard Publix talked about for how good their subs are, went to 2 and those subs are fucking mid at best. Can get way better subs literally anywhere, including grocery store chains here in DMV. Fucking Harris Teeter subs blow Publix out of the water. This just FL's version of In and Out where locals love it but it's mid to ass?

Hmm yeah got them done by ppl around 20-30ish and not fat enough to know how to make a good sandwich lol. Oh well, not going back to FL any time soon but if I do happen to have to go to that hell i'll have to try again.

The best and most reliable sub counter I ever found was the market district giant eagle in shady side Pittsburgh circa 2011. My memory is that it was $8 for a 16 inch sub. I measured one at 3lb. The cheapest way to get lunch meat and cheese at the time was to buy a sub and take it apart. Also, every sixth fullsize sub (or 11th half size sub) was free. Just a little north of $2/lb for meat and cheese, and the bread was good too.

It was so good. They eventually figured it out and made it shittier, but it got me through most of grad school.
