Oh, so you do subscribe to the theory that jews control the media. Thanks for that lol
I missed the joke too, Blub.
So it is agreed that Kotaku is bad because they said "fuck off" with the journalism circus act, and everyone else in gaming journalism are the good guys (gals?) now?
Little girl can't handle the world on her own, and has to have a dog get her out of the situations she gets herself into? How insulting is that? No True Feminist could possibly support such blatant patriarchal messaging.
Jokes aside, it did look interesting from the clip provided. I like the style of the art, and it looks like it might have an interesting story to tell. Probably not enough so that I'd pay full retail, but that's all but a handful of games for me, in this age of Steam sales. It's been a long time since I played a puzzle platformer that held my interest on gameplay alone, but those with compelling storytelling will get a play through from me.
tl;dr - I'd check it out, though feminism has nothing to do with it.
That's not a joke, the whole of the ~Inuit Experience~ is that through progressing through the game you gradually unlock sections of an actual live action documentary about the Inuit that have nothing to do with the gameplay and are accessed through a menu item called Cultural Insights.
Playing the game unlocks DVD extras that basically make up a documentary.
10/10 GOTY
Edit: I'm not sure how I feel about it as a whole. The game seems to be getting two differing sets of reviews: The "so cultural, amazing" side and the "this game isn't fun, the controls are awful, the AI is suicidal and the hitboxes are inconsistent" ones.
As someone who enjoys video games, I know which review I'm more inclined to listen to. I haven't played the game, personally. I've got no idea how it actually handles. That said, the videos I've watched basically show a Limbo-esque, Brothers-esque platformer that looks pretty but is fundamentally flawed.
Is this similar to the motte/baileys thing? "This game is great, look how cultured it is!" Yeah, but it plays like ass. "But it's so cultured! We have to give it points otherwise you're oppressing a people who helped contribute to the game!" Yeah, but it plays like ass. "But it's culturally enriched ass!"

This is what I want to see more of.
that can't be THE video
Here's the YT video with a copyright claim from him.

not really, that's just looking at different aspects of the game
motte and bailey is when someone alternates between a meaningless but easily defensible argument (feminism is about equality of the sexes!) and an agenda-laden, indefensible argument (we need to arrest men on the street who whistle at women because i'm scared) depending on who is "watching"
