I must ask, but, is adding another stereotype really a positive thing? Why all the praise from feminists? The only way I could see it being more offensive is if they actually named her Butch. I get its a publicity stunt but it almost feels like a "Lets see how offensive we can get and have them still praise us for diversity". I mean, honestly I wish I could find that comic about how to be a shit /(something)/ artist, where it basically goes into all the generic things. Stocky build, short hair in a weird color, glasses/piercings/tattoes, unique snowflake etcetc. They almost literally ripped it from that satirical comic.

I personally don't care but I can't see how this is being praised by feminists, I mean, they're almost mocking you.

Which is exactly why a lot of people are having issues with the feminist agenda towards video games.

Studies have shown that players don't care about the sex of a character, the body type, the race, the sexual orientation or any of that crap. They just care about if the game is good, or the character's abilities benefit their success in playing the game.

The problem is, that the people with the feminist agenda are claiming this to be false and spinning the results of their own studies to perpetuate this bullshit about it causing sexual violence/stereotypes. They're very much working in an "if" world. The actual numbers show that as video games became more popular, violent and sexual crimes reduced. If video games were making people more misogynistic and violent, it would make sense that these crimes would have gone up.

I don't have links to the studies mentioned above, but I've seen them in Sargon's videos. I can go through them when I have some time and snip out where he talks about them.

I agree with three article towards those who botch about her existence. I have said it before, I have zero issues with adding female characters like that. I only take issues with those that get upset with the existence of other female body types. Just make the game good, and I with fucking play it.

And if you're hunting through Sargon videos on my behalf, don't bother. I can't handle the constant droning condescension he brings to every video I've come across so far.

I think it depends on the game type. I do get turned off if I don't like the look of my toon in an mmo. If you are playing tf2 or overwatch for the characters and story, you are probably playing the wrong game.

Yeah, if I can't make a visually appealing person in an MMO, I'll hate it. Pretty much in every western RPG I'll make a female because the males usually look way too fucked. The chicks are typically softer looking and have better hair options.

I think that's a matter of personal taste. I personally like the character design and i like that there is a conscious attempt at more character diversity.

Im not sure what your point is? Doesnt every character model in tf2 have their own unique stats and skills?
