Kind of besides the point but Link rescuing Zelda is kinda the whole point. The dynamic of the lore suggests that Zelda is the important one and Link is just her guardian. That's why you always see the villains go after her first instead of Link even though he's the one who ultimately foils them. Now you could switch the genders and have Prince Zelda with Ms. Link and yeah sure that would be fine.

Sorry for the tangent but just had to nerd out for a bit about Zelda lore since I saw it.

Funny thing about everyone bitching about Princess Zelda being a damsel in distress.

Wrong game to use as justification. Also, lore wise, Ganon (known wielder of the Triforce of Power), goes after Zelda (known wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom) because the person with the triforce of courage is not known to Ganon (either link already has the triforce and its revealed to him through his trials, or he has to obtain it through trials). So, its not like Ganon picks on Zelda because she's a female, he goes after her because he knows she has one of the three Triforces.

Oh and here I thought she was just being a vulture by trying to turn people frightened by recent tragedies to her cause. Silly me! I guess I missed the memo where getting a campaign funded on Kickstarter to make videos about feminism made you an expert on the psychology of school shootings. Anti-GG also probably had a pretty good point when they said we were a bigger problem than ISIS and tried to blame the shootings in Canada on us.

Since when is representation in media proportional to population demographics? You're obviously not advocating that since LGBT people are, just to put an example, 1% of the population, that only 1% of media should have LGBT characters, so I don't know why you would even say such a stupid thing.

Maze Runner, the one we've been talking about is a movie, not a kid's show. Furthermore, LGBT isn't synonymous with hardcore porn. That's why, earlier, I mentioned romance as well. If you want to equate any signs of same sex affection as being explicitly sexual, then you have a personal problem.

I never claimed media should be proportional... I claimed that you look nit-picky when you complain that an already over represented demographic should be even more over represented simply because it's your demographic. It's like me saying there needs to be more white heterosexual males on TV...

As for maze runner, from what I've read it doesn't have any romantic scenes, so why should it elaborate on sexual orientation? And I was never equating homosexuality in movies to hardcore porn, hence "in any context". For kids shows it's unnecessary, for tween bullshit like this "maze runner" if it actually fit the context of the movie it's no biggie - but yeah it doesn't seem too.

I mean I guess during this shooting incident if she said something like, "Man, this is an awful tragedy, I could go for some deep dish pizza for 6.99 at a great notionwide chain." and we found out she was fed money from pizza hut, then I could see the issue, but come on now. You are really stretching with this one.
