My group is only getting the egg to around 50% on our learning runs without popping pots/ppp. Any tips on improving our speed? I don't think pots will make up 50% on the egg.

Hmm.

Don't slow down to let DPS catch up on cube. Just have someone switch from ball to cube, preferably a Bard.

Other than that, there aren't really any tips. Just hit harder and faster.

EDIT: Was watching your stream. You should drop Defiance and your Paladin Sword Oath when killing the egg. That would help a bit too.

EDIT 2: If the Weapons Node is struggling to catch up to Gravity Node in DPS, maybe consider having you tank the Weapons Node and have your Paladin on the Gravity Node. It would shift a bit more damage towards your Weapons Node.

Phase 2 is all about getting used to it, when to go in, when to go out.

Our DPS on egg went from 30%ish left and boss nerve cloud, to using LB to kill it, to killing it w/o LB in 1 hour

it might not be dps issue, just peeps not used to it yet and being cautious

our raid DPS is 1789 after eggs

Really? Our Group is 2BRD,DRG,NIN atm and we split drg,brd on ball, nin,brd on cube and we had the cube at 10% when the ball was 50%.. I just assumed the ball took more magic dmg, less phys dmg and that was why but is that wrong? Was the NIN and my(brd) dmg that much better then the DRG/BRD?

According to my logs.

Weapon (Sphere) has 131k~
Gravity ( Cube) has 55k~
Electric (Egg) has 75k~

Cube has signficantly less hp, a caster can kill it about the same speed as 2xphys on Weapon.

Running a similar composition; we put BLM and SMN on Cube, and MNK and BRD on Sphere. Blitz the Cube to 15%, then have both SMN and BLM start on the egg while the physical finish up on the Sphere, and the WAR can generally do the remaining 15% on the Cube by himself.

Actually like that idea. We've been having the BLM solo the Cube and all 3 other dps on the sphere with the Summoner multi-dotting. But I like that strategy and we may try it.

On our best pull we had about 5-10 seconds before it started casting it, but our best pull is the out of the norm. On average I'd say we get like 1-2 seconds now.

I disagree, since when we engage it after killing the Sphere and Cube it's at around 65% from just a BLM and one set of SMN DoTs.
