The full suit with the helmet if dope AF. I'm on board for day 1.

Marvel Comics has been trying for YEARS to make Capt. Marvel popular and never succeeding. I'm underwhelmed by the trailer, the losing streak might continue. But yes I know the movie will do gangbusters like all MCU movies.
They managed to actually make Black Panther relevant after he wallowed in the background for decades. If Marvel really wants to make a character matter they can do it.
This movie probably won't be it for her, but A4 might be
Underwhelmed as well. Trailer just makes it look like a generic sci-fi action CGI fest. Granted, I'm still interested to learn about the character before she's tossed in with the Avengers. I just feel like if I never watched a MCU movie before, this trailer wouldn't sell it for me.
Pretty sure the movie will be good. As I've said before, Carol's going to be a big deal in the next phase. Feige & co will try their best to make people like this franchise.

I'm very excited.
That trailer was dope as fuck.
"The losing streak" of critically acclaimed blockbuster action films?
His opinion is all that matters, Zealot. Jesus fucking christ.
I don't know anything about the comic universe for Captain Marvel. What I gathered from the trailer is that we are going to see an origin story of a hero fighting generic bad-guys (or mirror-enemy a la Iron Man, etc). If the Skrull are that important it didn't feel like it to me watching the trailer. Going to walk into this film cautiously optimistic. Loved the CGI and action in the trailer, so I guess that's enough for a Marvel movie.
In the comics Carol Danvers is a half-Kree, half-human daughter of a Kree scout who was sent to Earth and a human man. She used to work for the Air Force and one day she was caught in a Kree machine explosion next to Mar-Vell, another Kree, and it woke up the Kree side of her genes. Yada yada yada the 70s through the early aughts, now she's Captain Marvel and in terms of raw power probably outclasses everyone else in the MCU so far except Thor.
including Thor I think... at least at this point right? She's cosmic level power iirc.
Well MCU Thor right now has Stormbreaker which we saw break through a blast from the Infinity Gauntlet so it's likely Thor is on another level from where has been.
That said if this Carol has the same powers as comics Carol, she'd not only survive the blast too but just get stronger.
I think someone (maybe Feige?) said the Capt. Marvel would be the strongest MCU hero yet.

Pretty meh on it. I'll give it a shot, but I think i'm starting to get superhero fatigue.
Now my dream would be a post credits shot of a woman offscreen, with green and yellow clothes grabbing Carol's arm before it fades to black. Talk about hype shit. Never happen, though.
Spicing up the trailer with Destiny's child Survivor

That would make people lose their shit. I wonder if they could get away with doing something like that and just call her something else until they get the rights back
I haven't really cared about any superhero movie until this infinity gauntlet stuff. After all this is done, I don't know what would get me really hyped up except for a proper Marvel brand Phoenix saga.
