It's because DRG's piercing debuff is part of their normal Chaos Thrust combo which is their strongest combo move. Basically the point is DRG will be using Disembowel (piercing debuff) anyway even if another DRG was there as you need to use it to be able to use Chaos Thrust.
I think Disembowel combo is kept regardless of # of Dragoons, while a second Monk means one can DK and the other can Bootshine.
Not a melee, so grain of salt etc etc
Yeah that's really lame then. Poor DRGbros.
Yes, DRGs use Chaos combo regardless, it's their strongest combo by a wide margin (900 potency vs Full thrust at 680).
Chaos thrust alone has a net potency of 500, more than any other WS.
Even a Full Thrust with Life Surge is only a (theoretical) 495 (330*1.5).
Disembowel is part of a combo that dragoons have to do anyway so that's why it doesn't matter how many dragoons are in a party
But it can matter how many Bards are in a party with a Dragoon.
I herd u like 2 split hairz.
DRGs cant complain tho
they got an expansion theme all about them XD
They also have that cool DRG hand armor dealie during the HEAVENSWARD opening.
Shit I think I came into the wrong Thread...
Back to ROG/NIN discussion, anyone who has used it in coil or extreme primals have you had a lot of moments where when reapplying Huton or Suiton where your GCD is up for a large amount of time because of lag? I'm still only 47 at the moment but even just running around zones doing FATEs I find especially when using 3-step jutsu like Huton/Suiton/Doton that my GCD is sitting there while all the animations play out and I feel like this would severely affect rotations and DPS in actual important events.
Just as an example if I apply Shadow Fang I should be able to get 2 rotations of Aeolian Edge in before having to reapply (with Huton on of course) but if it's during a time when I have to reapply Huton or Sneak/Trick Attack is up for Suiton I'm missing precious GCD uptime waiting for the last mudra to come out so I can pop it and finally use my weaponskill. It doesn't happen all the time though so I'm not sure if it's just animation lag or server lag registering the mudras I applied.
Sometimes my stuff lines up to where I feel like I'm missing a GCD but chances are I just did something wrong.
Has never happened to me, but then again I always buffer my mudras so they always come out correctly, even if under lag. There are times however when I can visibly see a mudra input take longer than what's considered normal however. In this instance I just maintain then pick back up on the DPS after it fires off... not worth getting the rabbit because im impatient for another second.
I can see this being a problem however once the 485 and 600+ Skillspeed thresholds become commonplace.
I often have a 'ninjutsu lag'. I click a ninjutsu and sometimes it takes .5 or 1sec before the action is counted
Like you see the action pressed but the character won't do the action i demand for a good second.
And sometimes it's instant
I wish each mudra was an instant cast. Last week, it felt smooth and quick, no it feels like there's a lag with each mudra.
@Ratatapa
That's what I'm talking about. It's not so much that I get bunny when I should be getting Huton or Suiton, it's that I put in all my mudras making sure not to spam the button and use Ninjutsu but it still takes longer than the .5s recast would lead you to believe. So I run into instances where while I have 2.05 seconds between GCDs to put out a Ninjutsu that should take 1.5s to execute it actually takes about 3s and my GCD is left hanging. I doubt it's hurting DPS that severely but when I see people comparing Dummy DPS where Ninjutsu activates instantly to other DPS I think it's kinda leaving out a big factor in animation lag that occurs in other instances.
