The icons of certain rogue and ninja actions have been adjusted to improve visibility.
OMG i want to see if they fixed all the debuff/dot shit!
fuck yesssssssssThe icons of certain rogue and ninja actions have been adjusted to improve visibility.
edit: beaten
i bet the icon changes are awful as fuck, btw
prolly something new that we all have to get used to again, and then they fix it again lmao
Much better. Not a huge fan of the Mutilate but at least they're all very distinctive colours now.
Do the debuff icons for Mutilate/DancingEdge/ShadowFang also reflect their new menu icons? Honestly that was the biggest issue, not so much the skill icons themselves.
Yea, they do
red blue green
yay :D
Where the fuck is the Artifact armor quests?
What? Should be at Oboro?
I FOUND IT IN MY INVENTORY BECAUSE I'M TOO FOCUSED ON THE ANIMATIONS
Anyone figured out the BIS set for NIN yet?
Apparently T13 acc cap is 535 (front is higher) so probably something like this:

If you have the T13 weapon you need more accuracy so maybe swap to the other i130 head/necklace. IDK I threw this shit together in 2 minutes so might be something more optimal.
^ um u have wrong earring in that setup
Oh whoops, must have misclicked. Can use coil earring and accuracy food (since you'd be 2 below the supposed accuracy cap for T13) or poetics earring and crit/det food. I can't see any better pieces to swap out to meet acc cap without food. Having T13 dagger changes quite a bit since you lose a big chunk of accuracy, looks like something like this would probably be best:

I was wondering what is the order of DOTS do you apply as NIN (imagine that no war and no other nin)
I usually go DE then Mutilation then Shadow Fang I'm wondering if i change my dot order i could increase my DPS
Dancing Edge doesn't boost the potency of your DoTs (initial hit will get buffed, but the actual damage over time aspect doesn't), so you can just slap them with Shadow Fang and Mutilate immediately. I usually Mutilate -> Shadow Fang and then move on to DE or AE combo. This translates nicely to when you do party with WAR/NIN since slapping on DoTs first also gives them an opportunity to throw in Storm's Eye (idk what the cookie cutter WAR opener is now but I've partied with a few that open with it when OT) or DE so you can just go straight to your AE combo for more damage. They'll typically line up pretty well with Trick Attack after that for your next application (Trick Attack does boost the damage of the DoT unlike Dancing Edge). I'll usually do something like:
Obviously throw in stuff like Mug and Jugulate when you can. Might not be the best opener but it gives you a buffed Trick Attack, AE, Raiton and DoTs all during Trick Attacks duration. IDK if anyone has mathed out an undisputed "best" but this has felt like the strongest starter for me out of all the ones I've tried.Code:Mutilate > Shadow Fang combo > Dancing Edge combo (Blood for Blood before the DE) > Internal Release > Spinning Edge > Suiton > Gust Slash > Trick Attack > Aeolian Edge > Kassatsu > Spinning Edge > Raiton > Shadow Fang > Mutilate
i think the only thing is whether putting your dots up front is more damage than the damage gained from having the slash debuff up right away for plds. my suspicion is that it's probably better to get the slash debuff up right away but it seems a little too nitpicky to investigate.
