I don't see how a Bind effect is terribly threatening to a healer.
Either they're being attacked and it's going to be removed immediately or they're not and it's a 1s cast away from being removed by themselves.

Healer not being attacked in FL?
I think I see the flaw in the strategy.
Good for 1v1 situation as a ghetto gap closer if you're being kited. In most cases prob better than shukuchi cause of animation delay.
Like I said, it's all depending.
If a healer is being focused by 3+ DPS, a quick bind can mean the difference between life and death for the healer, especially when the the gap needs to be closed after an Aura Blast/Mythril Tempest or some other knockback. Essentially, it also frees up the use of Overwhelm as an additional gap-closer. If the bind is removed by DPS, then it served it's purpose of closing the gap and allowing the DPS to reach the healer. If the healer spends time removing the bind, it's time he/she could have spent curing or doing some other action. In my personal experience, there has been a great deal of cases where my well timed Hyoton has meant the death of a fleeing healer.
1v1, Hyoton loses a bit of effectiveness, and is essentially a tool to use to get away if reinforcements come. Also for kiting, as Sam said before me. This is where Bards find it most painful, because all they do is kite in a 1v1 situation.
How do you like to use Goad without losing target?
I play on controller and use <mo> for Goad. I setup my mouse over the targets name beforehand. I used to make people put a circle above their head if they wanted Goad when I had <circle> in my macro lol
i just do goad macro whenever i go into a serious fight where they need it, like coil
for dungeons, i just do /ac goad <2> macro to goad the warrior
Has there ever been an general attribute priority for NIN? As in assuming you meet accuracy requirements, how would CRIT/DEX play out in figuring out which would be better?
det is definately >>> crit afaik so far
errr just do <6> <7> <8> etc
So, I want to make Sasuke's Blades with 3 acc so that I can have a set like this, or at least as close to it as I can get. Anyone know for sure whether I need 2 or 3 acc on my Novus stage to end up with 3? I'm assuming it's 3, I figure it's too low to ever go up a point from the following upgrades.
3 as in, literally THREE acc?
just do 3 det/crit for bonuses stat... i dont think 3 acc will make or break you....
wear a new il110 accessory and problemo solved
you actually have the same dream set as i do, except i replace the ironwork il120 ring with a 130 dreadwyrm ring + i have acc on my ZW
that set is only possible if you have triple stats ZW like acc + det + crit
also only usable when ZW gets to 130/135, right now dreadwyrm daggers still best
Our group is still working on 13 for the time being, but I figure missing even single hit will do more to hurt my DPS than 3 crit. 3 crit wouldn't make or break me either, but I'd much prefer the consistancy than spiking slightly higher ~.2% of the time.
Now I'm even more confused, because that setup you posted isn't ACC capped for T13.
As I get to play more NIN, I find that sometimes dots durations (SF/Muti) would sometimes finish maybe 10secs before trick attack.
When that happens, do you :
1) Use dots first and clip it after applying trick attack? or,
2) Wait until trick attack is applied then use dots? Is it worthwhile to delay b4b in order to use it during TA?
Neither.
If your DoTs are dropping and TA isn't ready, reapply DoTs, TA when it's up, do not clip your DoTs for the sake of TA.
