The main argument for Keystone is that the tarsands are getting produced whether we have a pipeline or not, the pipeline is just a superior method of transportation.

I'm a very pro-green energy guy (I drive a fucking Leaf) but I tend to agree with that assessment, hence I hope Obama gets a ton of concessions in exchange for approving the pipeline.

that's what i had thought but i wanted to see what the actual facts are.

similarly, i generally hate the idea of public funding for the NFL etc, but i voted for a sales tax increase to fund the new stadium because the project is already half completed. either we let them increase the sales tax or they just add more things to be taxed. either way we're paying for it.
