How fucking depressing... I sometimes wish I could just move out of this country. Another 4 years of Nikki Fucking Haley, another 6 years of Lindsay Fucking Graham, 2 years of impeachment and government shutdowns, and god-knows-how-long the repubs will keep the government in shit-hole mode because of the amount of money their backers seem to be willing to put in every campaign season.

And the people in my county wouldn't even approve a 1% sales tax increase to fix our roads (lost by 30 points). Fucking republicans.

holy shit I know it's just the beginning but so far prop 45 is an overwhelming no. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?

(for non-californians, it was a prop where insurance companies who wanted to raise rates would have to submit it to a panel to prove why it was being raised and that it wasn't gouging the customers.)

Because Brobamacare already takes care of that for exchange plans - it's not clear that this is necessary anymore.

hmmm maybe I read it wrong when I initially researched it. It sounded like this was to go hand in hand with obama care to make sure plans were following it.

Between the gubernatorial and senate races, democrats have gained +1 (PA governor).

Which is actually offset by the fact that they lost the Maryland, Illinois, and looks like Massachusetts governor races too.

Additionally, the cards are falling into place that republicans will have 54 seats. 2016 suddenly looks like it might be a long shot for democrats to retake the senate.

It is worth noting that the tea party crazies, to which this was supposed to be a referendum on and how the establishment took them out, are still there.

- Paul LePage has won reelection.
- Rick Scott has won reelection.
- Sam Brownback has won reelection.
- Scott Walker has won reelection.

As well as a lot of the individual house races.
