Now that I think about it, lag has been getting to me too. Had a DC the other night, our tank DCed twice in a lowbie roulette last night, then later I had about 3 R0s in a row in another dungeon in succession of each other. I didn't DC but was annoying trying to AoE down a group of trash mobs and not being able to do crap for about a minute straight.
That really sucks....my only options are uverse and charter, and ever since 2.4 I couldnt play this game at peak times without extreme lag and rubber banding. Everything else was fine, streaming, watching streams, other games, it was just FFXIV. Switch to charter, no problems in FFXIV anymore.
Same problems here, U-verse is killing half our coil raid group. Three of us raid from the same location (TX) and one from Missouri on U-Verse and we all lag at the same times. Battleping fixes it, so it's just the usual packet routing problems, but one of us runs on a PS4 so that's not a cure-all.
Is there an idiot's guide to VPN-through-your-router? (i.e. what router to buy, how to set it up, etc.)
My raid group is having some connection issues too. Our MT got disconnected on our best run at T11 last night right when tethers came out. Our MNK has always had issues but he has to restart after every couple fights now. Both use pingzapper stuff but it's not really helping. I've been having this jittery lag too, stop/starts, but they're brief so I don't bother mentioning it anymore. Shit's bad for some people.
Uverse in Texas. Yup that's me as well Raldo.
It's fucking awful sometimes. I swear nothing will happen for 10 seconds, then a hypermode 2 second rubberband then 10 seconds of nothing...
I stream games all the time (mmos even) FFXIV is the only one I struggle with. Makes no difference if I'm streaming it or not. >_>
I've been having constant DCs from driver issues, it seems that no matter what version I use, after doing clean installs and uninstalling old versions and doing a driver sweep in safe mode, I will crash and sometimes recover, other times BSoD. This game is the only one that does this, the other games I play run absolutely fine. Of course last night, was stable for two hours, after waiting 56 minutes for expert roulette as whm (seriously wtf...) and got out of Snowcloak, saw a Turn 6 in PF, join that, and then proceed to crash three times in the fight. Between that, and it only having been my second time ever doing it, I left the party because I felt bad and kinda wasted people's time.
Retrieving letter. Please wait.

Have had rubber band hell for past week, cant do shit wtf
Frontlines is thoroughly unenjoyable without a premade party and so few people care about PvP that getting a premade party together is a waste of time.
Regardless, I generally don't find FL to even be that well made of an event, it requires far too much coordination for any kind of good or competitive match, it takes too long, way too much time is spent running around....
An upscaled Wolve's Den would actually be kind of fun with 8 man parties and either 2 or 3 way matches on a slightly larger arena.
8 man pvp would be pretty fun but SE has no clue how to make good pvp. doubt we see anything like that anytime soon, or at least a version that doesn't have some kind of stupid shit going on.
Here's something that bothered me today, I got vote kicked because I was watching the cutscenes for the first time in the last main story dungeon, happened twice too.
Yeah, cutscenes in the last two dungeons were always a problem. People want to rush through the dungeons (can't blame them) and the cutscenes are quite long. While I'm surprised people still farm those I guess there's still more of them than first timers. This is just something you have to deal with. Just skip the cutscenes and rewatch them later in the Inn.
Meridianum and Praetorium are very badly designed dungeons because of all the CSs. I'm honestly surprised they haven't done anything about them after a year.
At the very least, they could let you join the boss fights after you finish your cutscene.
This is where something like FFXI's trust system would come in handy though, I'm honestly surprised people even DO those dungeons unless they are first timers.
A lot of content like that needs to be addressed, even without the cutscene issue. Old content needs to be done to progress, but has no big reason to re-do them now. Same issue for CT > ST. Who does CT now?
On another note, I still have no idea why we can't change jobs without having all of our shit go on cooldown. You can't do it in combat, you can't do it during a dungeon, so what's so OP about changing jobs in the middle of the field? (Or even in Sanctuaries.)
The only thing in the open world worth killing are Hunts, and I can't say that changing jobs, even mid-combat, would really make any big differences. Might change later, but still, not allowing us in combat is enough. Maybe if you've been in combat in the past 30 seconds, do the cooldowns. Doing Ixal dailies this is especially annoying, because you need to be on a crafting class to pick them up, and a lot of them ask you to change to a combat class.
on my server, CT, ST, prae, castrum is still active dungeons cos of roulette bonuses and lights
all will pop within 15 mins for me on NIN
Story roulette is real good soldiery so I'm not surprised people run it, real fast and easy dungeons and every time I've ran it I've got the 100 soldiery bonus from a new player being there. Luckily every time they've just skipped CS and said they'd watch later, but I know if they actually wanted to sit through them the 6 other shitlords in the group wouldn't be willing to wait.
