BUT IS THAT A FACT OR JUST YOUR OPINION!?
BUT IS THAT A FACT OR JUST YOUR OPINION!?
I'm almost certain desynth botting is taking place right now. There's a guy with 800 fieldcraft demimateria III for sale (nearly 30mil worth) and he's constantly producing more and putting new stacks of 99 up. I find it hard to believe someone would sit desynthing wedding gear non-stop all day every day because it's incredibly boring and the profit margins are small. I desynth the stuff myself and the prices of the broken down items have been forced down so hard it's almost not worth it. I honestly hope SE kills the market in the patch next week just to watch this guy's gil go down the drain.
A large portion of the endgame community and plenty of casuals bot, not even a question. There are quite a few pay for bots that are popular.
Mainly because gathering up crystals in any meaningful quantity is an exercise in 'shoot me now before the infection spreads'.
It's not currently worth desynthing wedding shoes on Siren. Not unless you get very lucky. People are just dropping the price constantly. Is there something new? Or is this just bot central?
Oh man, this so hard. I always get shit tier items from it. The last one I did? 1506 gil, 80 ice shards, and 3 soldiery tomes. thats it. <.<
I rarely ever get more than 2-3 items from it, and if its 3 ones always shards, another is aetherial gear, and the last is some ventures.
Spoiler: show
Bunny outfits are on point. Except for lalafells. Fishnet stockings on a lalafell are a mistake that can never be forgotten.

Goes into WoD in-progress->> vote abandon passes....

On the Dreadwyrm thing, I have to say, it really isn't a sign of skill so much as it is a sign that the person is able to clear the content. That might involve skill, sure, or it could involve getting carried, or having a group willing to slam their heads into the content for enough hours a week until the stars and planets align and they clear it.
Hell, I used to be in an FC of people like that last one. They sucked, by and large. This was back when Second Coil was the big endgame to-do, and every night the various Second Coil statics had runs, there was inevitably a huge amount of "good work, we didn't even come close to clearing, but we gave it a good effort." They couldn't even clear EX primals consistently (and had worse win rates than the average PF party from everything I saw firsthand, but I'm promised that I just got them on bad nights and they were usually better, etc). And yet they acted like hot shit, doing the standard "I have this gear, I'm automatically better than you and am always right [even when I'm wrong]" thing you only see bad players do and getting absolutely rectally devastated when I'd insist gear != skill. Hell, that's how I exited that FC. I was complaining about some random HA tank in a DF dungeon that could not keep hate from Fire 2, let alone Flare, and after a self-righteous rant from one of the officers (including being told I should somehow use Quelling Strikes on every single pull), I got called casual trash and kicked.
Scrubs will scrub, regardless of content. High-end raid gear only really means anything before guides start popping up and people can just blindly follow them without any deeper understanding of what they're actually doing. You might not always see or notice those players running around unless you look for them, but they're there, and they're painful to encounter.
Getting Dreadwyrm in this game is just based off of how lucky you are. Main job: BRD - 2 DW drops in the last 9 weeks (bracelet and hat), meanwhile my MNK that I almost never play has full left side DW minus boots.
The loot rehaul in Heavensward can't come fast enough.
Some jobs aren't that difficult in FCOB either. I mean I play BRD and the extent of skill required for me:
T10 - Know where to stand for Tether and/or Charge (which is simplified even more for me as I'm always Tether Soaker where possible)
T11 - Know where to stand if targeted for Tether (+ dodge I guess?)
T12 - Move out of blackfire and dodge pinions (emergency soaker which is like never)
T13 - I guess depends on how much skill you think is required in being in the right place for each mechanic.
Everything else is just pewpewpew and sing bitching. I wouldn't say anything I do in T10-12 requires skill. T13 your mileage may vary but personally I think it doesn't need a whole lot of skill.
Only if your definition of skill is 'Being capable of using 2 hands'. Does it really require skill to move with one hand and hit actions with the other? It's not like you even have to move much in T10 and 12 anyway. And T11 moving isn't even that bad considering the movement pattern is timed and is always the same (I.e. you know exactly when it's coming and you know you have to move, you don't have to react)
Depends on ilvl/set-up but I'd say 400 is a pretty low benchmark too.
more like 550-580 i125-130 and into the 600's with a T13 weapon!
I think people are vastly overestimating the average player.
The actual average player.
I thought we're talking about skilled players not the average player? Because the average player is not skilled or well equipped.
400 DPS as BRD on FCOB is definitely not skilled unless you're low ilvl or have a shitty set-up with slow kills / lots of sing bitching.
An average BRD should not struggle in FCOB too much beyond the initial learning curve. An average player on other jobs is a different matter though. As far as BRD is concerned the mechanics aren't really any worse than SCOB or Extreme Primals.
Absolutely not skilled, but they can get decently equipped with enough patience and like-minded friends. All they really need to do is slavishly follow Mr. Happy's guides and clear things on the twentieth or thirtieth attempt each week. They'll have their Dreadwyrm gear and absolutely garbage skill to go along with it. Then they tend to bully others by saying "I'm right because I have this gear" instead of "I'm right because [logical reasons]" and react violently to being told they're wrong or that they're sucking (see also my anecdote from earlier for the worst I've seen, but those types litter DF/PF in my experience).
