I'd say only people who full cleared early actually "blitzed" the raid though. Either way I'm not sure how long a four boss raid can be expected to last (certainly not 6 months).

I think you misunderstand. I wouldn't even call your system draconian if we were playing XI because in that game you didn't learn/beat bosses by constantly dying to them. In a raiding game that's designed around endlessly pulling the boss? Terrible.

As Wacraft showed us when they tried limited attempts (sorry to bring it up again since you haven't played), serious guilds would just circumvent your system by raiding on alts anyway. It'd only be a minor inconvenience for the people you were trying to stall.

Lasted 6 months, not took 6 months to clear. Salvage, Dynamis lasted years.

But yeah only a few events were still being learned after 3-4 months. Dynamis, Salvage, Legion.

My whole point is there has to be a better system. 90minutes a week of endgame is not a healthy system. Nor is the 12+ hours a week of head banging during progression.

I see more and more (shitty DF) MNKs who let GL3 regularly fall off in CONTINUOUS fights. I don't get it. Do they macro whole rotation? Do they start from BS/DK any time they change targets or move out of range? I don't get it.

I don't mind 90 minutes a week of end-game, I have other things to do both in-game and IRL. SE's alternative tends to be more RNG to make you put in more hours per week, not more content. I'll have to pass.

We did Dynamis for 3 years not because it was hard, but because the loot system was horrendous. I heard many a horror story of people saying they've not seen certain drops in the two years they've been running it. I seem to remember you being limited to 2x 3 hour sessions per week too, which never really lasted 3 hours except for a couple of the harder ones.

If SE follows their shift towards huge grinds the next end-game will probably not have a lockout but instead it will have <5% drop rates. So instead of clearing T13 once for two guaranteed drops you'll be clearing it 50 times to get your two drops. The people who can raid 7 nights a week for 5 hour runs will love it because they might be able to get half a dozen drops in a week and it keeps them happy that they constantly have something to do. In reality most people will be looking at 2-3 drops due to scheduling and having to spend 20 times as much time to get the same as they do now.

Coil is the only thing I enjoy in the game these days because it's the only thing not tied to a massive grind. The content I could enjoy I've given up on because I don't have time for the grind. If end-game becomes a grind then what do I have time for?

There is a ton of truth to that.

I just don't see how its healthy for the existence of the game. Maybe I underestimate game developers but it seems so rapid at some point it will be very stale. The speed of the scale requires so much content at what seems like an extremely fast pace.

For people like you, there are tons of things to do in game, for those of us who want more, longer, harder content, we have almost nothing to do.

I still stand by that CT being second screwed things up a lot. I don't think will have that mistake in 3.0 as CT was supposed to be out at launch. It was out of date by its release and just felt pointless.

If 3.0 has its equal out before or at the same time it should help the feeling of end game not lasting.

Ya it won't mean anything to the super hard core clearing in a week or two but the average group that takes a few months can get that extra upgraded item each week to help out.

Will see I still have fairly high hopes for 3.0. I hope not to be totally let down.

They said no endgame raid until 3.1 so I bet you are right with a CT ish event for 3.0

There are just as many people with 80 IQ as there are with 120. That's what I tell myself anyway.

The worst thing is seeing the actual numbers though. When a DF tank beats a DF dps, I lose faith in humanity.

I don't know where at. I have nothing to do because I'm not willing to spend 10-20 hours grinding the same thing over and over. I fell in that trap for my relic and each time I had the better version from Coil either before the upgrade or just after. Never again.

I want more hard content too, I'm just realistic and know it's not coming and SE's way of giving you more to do will be making you repeat the same content multiple times for a chance at a reward rather than a reward. I'll take one clear lockout over grind any day when the end result is the same.

I have only seen my healer skirt twice in WoD and I lost it once to someone who didn't really need it that we invited to our party just to help a few weeks ago.

I just take whatever I want at the moment. I have bard chest, tank chest, and caster chest.. and the last pieces I actually need never drop. Healer hat and skirt. I really hate how I almost always see monk or ninja stuff when there are zero ninjas or monks in the party during WoD runs. I really hope they can figure out some other way of handling loot because the tables are so big and it's just a pain to run so many times and never see anything.

Last week I spent all week until Saturday, doing 2-3 runs a day and finally got healing hands, naturally, healing legs dropped off Cerberus, when I couldn't lot them and the other whm had them so they hit the floor. Here we are in a new week, same thing happening, not a single healer piece so far, all I ever see is brd or drg, of fending. Revamp on loot pools would be sweet and well welcomed.

I was pretty excited when TT and choco racing came out, it was really fun at first. After playing TT matches against NPCs and getting really bad luck on cards, it lost it's fun rather quickly.

Chocobo racing was really fun, after 2-3 days of 3-4 hours of just brainlessly racing and im only rank 20, and I have to get to 40 to breed, no longer fun.

Now I just log in to see how much the cactpot guessing website can win me.
