I swear people leave as soon as the duty starts just to fuck with people.
I swear people leave as soon as the duty starts just to fuck with people.
I've done that a couple times 'cause I queued for the wrong duty. It's usually because I forgot to uncheck one of the Crystal Towers while I'm doing the weekly.
Savage Aim Materia II @ 50k a pop with fails @ 87%...
Fuck Novus
T2 isn't that bad to farm yourself.
@1week to coil unlock... still 0 nin hand n bracelet... ffs
Fuck Zodiac Dungeon drops. You people with multiple Zodiacs are fucking insane.
Shitty Chocobo coverings. I get there has to be a degree of randomness but we shouldn't have to throw 30k+ MGP at coverings just to find one that is fucking useable. I'm not talking about breeding and finding out the Choco is shit at the end, I mean just buying multiple in the first place to start the breeding.
Every covering I bought tonight had shit stars. I shouldn't be getting 7-10 star grandparents on every covering for G7 coverings
The Gold Saucer 2/24/2015 - 3/10/2015
RIP
It had a good run.
what happened, why did it end? O_o
Roughly the amount of time it was amusing before it just became a a grind.
I haven't done choco racing at all myself but from what it sounds like it's just more grinding combined with RNG stats.
The thing is you could in Beta, only checked quests would show in the duty list. For some fucking reason they removed the function for launch.
It's been one of my recurring complaints since launch along with not being able to filter flying text.
Hell, that's all it was for me after the first week. Teleport to zone, do scratch off. If it's 5 minutes~ until a GATE, play Cuff-a-Cur until it pops, then go back to doing whatever.
Chocobo Racing is fun... kind of. It's grindy but you can also do it whilst watching TV or whatever. Hopefully they expand on it somewhat though because there's some glaring issues (beyond the RNG)
* Only 3 courses and after the initial appeal wears off, it's essentially only 1 course (Sagolii as it's the quickest to grind)
* Some items are completely worthless
* Getting in front and just holding down W for the full race is like the most successful tactic right now (I.e. The one that essentially ignores all mechanics / thought)
* Time/Reward is awful compared to Triple Triad, espcially bad considering there's consistent MGP and Gil investment for Choco Racing.
RNG can be meh at times but it's not overly bad. And you always make some kind of progress even if you aren't winning. And it's strangely addictive if a little repetitive.
If it were up to me I would do the following
* Increase MGP reward (Planned anyway)
* Have MGP/EXP be weighted for each track (so that spam Sagolii isn't the best course of action. That may be part of the above too)
* Tweak Speed/Stamina drain somewhat (so that you can't just sprint the full race and hope for stamina items). Making all tracks worthwhile will help here as it's far harder to sprint all the way on the other 2 tracks.
* Tweak Bacchus Water (absolutely worthless right now)
* Chocobo Racing exclusive rewards (Triple Triad has it with far less time investment)
* Maybe add in some sort of items that give a bit more control over breeding even if it's like fixing 1 stat or color or something (can be tied into the above)
Tank fucked up in Haukke last night and couldn't hold aggro on the boss, DPS died and I had to swiftraise him, meanwhile Lady Vampira's adds were tossing out Void Thunders and Void Fires like there's no tomorrow almost wiping our team multiple times. We were that close to death so many times. I'm not afraid to boast and tell you that was some of the most badass healing I've ever done.. first time in a while I felt actually pressured as a healer.
And I only got one fucking player commendation.
FAIL.
I mean, I don't care at all. It could not possibly mean less to me. But still, FAIL.
Gold Saucer should have been fun casual content that you can pickup and play when you have some spare time. But instead they turned it into a hardcore grind where you make no progress unless you pour in massive amounts of time.
SE are consistent in one thing, and that's fucking up potentially great content with a terrible implementation. Gold saucer, housing, hunts, PVP, relics, crafting to name a few. I don't expect that to change with Heavensward.
That's why it's so odd that leveling is so easy in this game. I'm like... wait, you don't want me to kill the same monsters 300 times in a row to gain 1/10th of a level?
That's so true.
If getting cards was easier more people would do it. If ranking up your bird was easier more people would do it. If getting rank 45 in pvp was easier more people would do it.
The hardcores would bitch but the content would actually be used more.
Make the raids hard and the casual stuff casual. Seems simple on paper.
Not once, but twice have I been left to die by a healer in the final boss of copperbell hm for my SMN animus book.![]()
You're a SMN.
You have a tank pet and the ability to cure yourself (and at that level, it's actually effective).
edit: oooh, HM, I was starting to wonder what could even kill you in the normal one
If you're dying to the feeding mechanics just let them fail and wipe everyone!
If it's the adds that ignore hate, guess all you can do is sprint and pray <_<
