• Combine all the grades for each type of prism into one.
• Combine all the prism types into one.
• Make it so you can glamour multi-slot items. (Easily done by having them override whatever slot they're covering.)
• Add the glamor prism type and grade to the item display.
• Let me have a WHM in full plate armor, dammit!

The current system isn't even based on types of gear being appropriate for this or that job stylistically or statistically, it's purely based around whether or not a job can equip it.

I can deck my WAR out in mage robes and a pointy hat but I can't wear something as simple as a linen shirt on BLM because of the arbitrary restrictions.

It's a given that you couldn't glamour different weapon types, that's just an engine restriction if anything (ie. there's no WS animations for books).

Why would a WHM wearing HDL kill your experience any more than a WHM wearing lingerie?

Or a WAR dressed like a mage?

Or a DRG in crafting gear?

Also I hope you don't run into anyone with dated 1.0 gear glamoured, cause it's still all jobs and lets you wear any gear type on any job.

It would kill the game for me as readily as getting a FFXV's car as a mount. I just don't like the idea stylistically and I prefer to play things that match with my tastes? And yes, in multiplayer games that means affecting other players. If I booted up a Mario 2player game and I'm Mario I'd be psisy as fuck if my friend was Niko Bellic stomping on goombas and shooting koopas.

(Actually I probably wouldn't buy that game, so assume we're at said friend's house.)

In an ideal world, yes. I've accepted the ridiculousness of glamours as is but I would prefer it to not get any more ridiculous.

I don't think you can get more ridiculous than snowman heads and lingerie.

That's kind of my point, the glamour system has nothing to do with stylistically appropriate gear, to the point that it's arbitrary restrictions don't allow you to wear gear that would be stylistically appropriate.

See the example that started this all: You can't dye battlemage gear, but the i90 crafted version and PvP version can't be worn by healers.

All DoW can wear Foestriker's set, but the crafted/PvP version which can be dyed is BRD only.

The one that grinds me sometimes is how Doga and Unei's clone in ST have dyed High Allagan tank bodies, and are casters, but nope, not allowed to do that yourself, or as Niiro pointed out above, healers and casters getting fucked by dyable versions of the same gear only being wearable by healers or casters but not the other.

I was pretty sure you couldn't glamour pieces unless they took up the same amount of slots and were the same slot. (HDL takes up body+head is a body slot, Snowman head is a head that takes up head slot)

They don't need to take up the same amount of slots, it can be the same slots or fewer. You can glamour a cuirass (body only) on top of HDL body (body+head), but I don't actually know if you can glamour a head-only onto it.

I wonder if Rocl hates my chocobo head glamour.
