I was sure that 2nd Coil opening + nerfs were in 2.4

and echo was in 2.41

but coil Opening was 2.40 while nerfs + coil was 2.41

And thus my Terra hunt comes to a close. 1/362. That means if I did one Ultros fight a day and took Christmas, Thanksgiving, and my birthday off it would have taken a year to get a card I may never use (since you can only use 1 5 star and its no better than the Squall I already had) in a minigame that gives no rewards in an on-line video game where everything becomes obsolete every 3 months.

At least that's the way I described it to my wife who gave me the "you really need to rethink your life" look.

And this is exactly why I haven't even tried to get it, or any of the other stupid drop rate cards.

I can't even motivate myself to do the leg work to get to 60 and I only need 12 more. Hopefully the patch will make cards faster to get.

If I posted every time my PLD won a parse in DF I would need my own thread. I'll start saving the gems like sub 100 dps players on DPS jobs.

Nothing explains some of the poor DPS that can be found. Just full time AAing could beat some of them.

Yeah we are on the same page. Its not that my PLD is OP, its how bad other players can be.

I've been trying to clear ramuh now that I've knocked out a bunch of other stuff after a long break. It's rare that the DPS can kill even 2 of the arbiters before his SP. During my Terra card marathon there were plenty of times we hit LB3 the fight took so long (after saving it because DPS didn't know imp phase). Do you know how impossible that is? When I lucked upon good DPS we barely hit LB1. I just got out of WOD with my black mage geared with soldiery from all those Terra runs that I haven't played since 1.0 and finished 3rd out of 15 in the parse (with a whopping 260). I didn't know what to do at all on blm, never used aoe, and was doubling the dps of players that had to be a lot of ilvls ahead of me judging by hp.

I do everything in pickup too. Pickup DPS make this game not fun.

I know its a stereotype/generalization/whatever. But it seems like all of the terrible players are DPS.

That's because tank and healer have a feedback loop for when you suck shit. DPS does not for the most part, since you can just blame others in the party. This is why I find the Odin fight hilarious because bad dps is so easily visible.

one of the funniest df odin's i remember had the party excited to finally get to shin zantetsuken phase after several tries; too bad you can't take down his remaining 35% hp in 15-20 seconds.
