As of now I would like to log in. Hour 10 is around the corner. I know others on the OF are complaining about it as well, but it's a bit silly no response saying it's looked into at the least.
After realizing how little there is to do in the game it just dawned on me that the expansion is still more than a month away.
ugh
Last night, there was a live network maintenance which caused these exact issues last time they did it. I was unable to log in after I disconnected during the last live maint. while in a dungeon for like 3 hours x___x
Hopefully they've fixed those network issues but ANOTHER maintenance is coming tomorrow for 2.57 hotfixes. >_>
I had been in a queue for a while and decided to play some Triple Triad for a bit. Kept getting stuck in a draw -> sudden death loop -> queue popped -> no way of forfeiting Triple Triad matches...... Could not even manage to just lose intentionally against the NPC I was playing against in time. Why is there no forfeit option?![]()
Triple Triad Needs a Quit/Abandon Button
Triple Triad Request
Triple Triad Forfeit Option
Yuuup. There's a post just like that every couple pages of the gold saucer subforum. It's a wonder it hasn't received a response yet.
I thought there was a dev post saying it's coming plfti etc.
If so, I must've missed it; it's certainly possible
Still no right-click -> go to recipe page option on item links/icons/recipe-mats.
So... I kinda need to write this down or I'll prob spend the rest of my day pissed, so pls bear with me.
Earlier today I got asked to help out with some t9. It was a rl friend who joined a more casual FC, because reasons. Couple of weeks ago I pulled his group through t6-t8 by pretty much facerolling everything with another buddy of mine, the biggest part of the group was just there to look pretty and not know what the fuck is going on around them.
And now they're at t9. And as we all know, you can't faceroll t9 as you do with the rest of second coil, because SE actualy didn't remove one-shot mechanics. So, I join the pt, then login on TS. After their auditory whiplash kinda sorta calmed down they went in and started explaining the mechanics from 0.
Alright, not a big problem. Of course they don't look up tactics, they're casuals. But alas, this is where the annoying part started. I've been running t9 for almost a year now. And here he was, some random dude who (as his stated himself) got his first clear last month, talking over me and telling me how his tactic is WAY superior, because this is how jp's do it (even tho it was exactly the same shit).
Ok, fine. I kinda shut up and start checking ppl instead, cause you can't outscream stupid. Most of them seemed fine, the only thing that got me worried was the PLD and his Novus sword. Welp, no opening burst for me then. The guy finished talking and they decided to go in and try. The tries went about as deadly as expected, but it wasn't what absolutely blew my fucking mind. It rather was the fact that we consistantly getting 5 meteors in the first phase. With 5 (average) ilvl 120 dps and 20% echo. And once we got to the Golems it got worse. I had the choice to either go all out, pull aggro off the pld, die and not meet the dps check OR not to go all out, survive and not meet the dps check. So, alltogether the DPS was horrendous.
The second problem, that at some point fuckin infuriated me was that they weren't listening. At all. They were giggling, making jokes and apparently having good time.... which is fine. No really, it is. As long as they don't ask someone to help out and then waste their time by not even fuckin trying! It was so bloody obvious that they didn't give a fuck, that I kinda started wondring what the actuall hell I'm doing there. If they don't care, why the duck am I trying?
I know, I'm a fuckin idiot. I joined a casual group and expected ppl to pull their shit together and actually focus, but ffs throw me a longbow, this is just fuckin rude!
So after couple of wipes I went there and told them that their dps was shit. The answers were so amazing that I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. They actually told me that they don't have enough gear. They were like: yeah, yesterday was reset, so we're gonna get some new poetic pieces this week. It'll help. At this point I just completely gave up and was like: Alright, then let's just get the mechanics down, so that ppl stop dying to meteors falling on their heads and such. We went for another couple of tries, all of them failing because of the dps, until someone had to leave and they disbanded.
tl;dr: I joined a casual t9 group and kept wiping with them, cause their dps was abysmally bad.

Yeah man game needs a dps meter display so they can see what it looks like to be completely outclassed.
But that would offend someone! Can't have that, must live in bubble of ignorance.
I do occasionally help groups out, but I leave pretty quick if they don't listen.
Heh, Pi's post and avatar is the exact reason why I quit. I mean, I like my friends and all, but when they place T9 in the same difficulty bracket as Prae, expecting to win out of sheer determination and high gear/echo, and not looking up mechanics, treating it as a casual trial...well, both my eyes are now agitated to the point of twitching randomly due to severely high stress. I can understand if Nael was like Titan on steroids with all mechanics available from the beginning occurring in a random order, as to why we would be struggling, but it's the same mechanics, in the same order, every.single.goddamn.time (barring awkward phase changes).
I always assumed there was some kind of multiplier for damage dealt -> HP recovered.
It just didn't seem like a 1:1 ratio would make much of a difference, but since people aren't getting hit by it regularly it's not something you'd ever really bother quantifying.
Tank takes 10.5k on flatten ( no cd but I stoneskin him) and dies, bard that did 270dps ( within a drg in pt) says I'm a waste of space

It's coming right after player-summoned Primals.
