The bard in the first one is doing over 250, so better than normal.
FFXI despite it probably working on Win98SE still, respects the current prioritized Windows audio device.
ARR two years after release? Nah fuck your USB headset bro, relaunch the game. I don't think this was a problem in 1.X either? Should be a simple fix to add something to the system config to select audio device or just go with what Windows says to use.
I actually like it this way, I pit in an earpiece for voice chat and still have the game audio on speaker.
I don't know what to think of the Princess Healer, I had in DD, where the tank accidentally fell off with the frogs, got himself and her killed, and she proceeded to rip him a brand new asshole over it, and gave him shit for the rest of the run. Props for him taking it like a champ and not bailing. All my DFs were mostly quiet. Her explosion was unexpected. She went after the monk too for an unknown reason, and wouldn't heal her, so she died to second to the last boss. Mnk leaves.
DD and AV seems to bring the worst of people in DF, people usually premake duos or trios and throw tantrums at every minutia while giving shit play themselves. Lots of pauses to carry on arguing. Remember a drg/whm duo that did the same because the smn fired lb at the first boss.
After the monk left, I figured I was the next victim. When she Duke Nukem'd the tank, all I said was "my gosh, people aren't perfect" to which she said "they should be". Yet didn't say anything else to me after that, so whatever.
And DD is ALL DF Roulette would give me yesterday. I did 4 runs(30-34min queue times).
As for AV, I heard bad stories about that. Not unlocking it, because not going through that mess. And by mess, I mean bad players. (well aware this will be harder to do as I'm approaching endgame..)
Further clarification: Players with shitty superiority complexes.
healer and tank being top 2 seems pretty normal to me

Better than Swiftcast -> Hardcast Flare -> Tranpose -> Swiftcasted Thunder. Why is it the server can't correct shit midcast for our client? It either lets it hardcast, or cancels shit mid-cast, or worse, that problem where instant-use skills don't get off because you got line of sighted on an instant-use skill.
Not exactly comparable, one is a stupid player choice, the other is stupid animation/effect lag.
Also Flare cast is long enough that you're probably better off interrupting and recasting to make use of the Swift.
Someone posted their vid of some mid-range high level dungeon run to guildwork a bit ago where a blm swiftcasted bliz 3 after his fire rotation.
Without a SCH a BLM doing an AoE rotation from default stance (no AF/UI) will wind up with ~200 mp and be unable to flare, with a SCH you have enough to Flare.
(idk how much different race PIE effects this)
You basically always need a SCH. 1116 is the sweet spot for "can F2 and still be able to Flare after". Attainable with 250 PIE I believe, which is also the point where Convert gives you back exactly 1116 MP if that's useful to you.
It's why I was a lazy shit and maxed PIE on my BLM Nexus.
I'm so fucking tired of being interrogated every time I leave an FC. They act like the damn thing is going to fall apart when that counter is suddenly one less than what it was.
Well to be fair from a leadership standpoint it's nice to know why somebody left, particularly if it was something at fault with the FC itself. Were the people assholes to them? Did they feel left out or ignored? Did they not like policies on gardens, chests, etc? If it is something bad about the FC, they can work to correct it so they don't continue to lose members to whatever it is that is causing them to leave.
