Tanks are still rare. Even asking in ls or fc doesn't always work depending on what you're doing.

Kind of depressing since I'm pretty much guessing that the reason why they attempt to reduce tank mechanics is to prevent tanks from getting scared away.

Yep, except it's never the mechanics of tanking that push people away, it's the responsibility and SE doesn't seem to understand that even if all a tank needed to do was press 1 button and move around people still would shy away from it. Pretty much the same reason why I never really considered playing DRK even though I'm looking for a new job. Just doesn't seem fun enough, but who knows if in practice it'll be cool.

Healing is the same, but people don't give healers as much shit even if they're bad.

WHM didn't have a bad attitude though, and at first I thought because of my second sleep attempt being a bit late, thus not preventing one of her deaths, that she got a little vengeful in the boss fight, because I even asked her was it because of that. There are people who will not voice their problems with a player and instead resort to more drastic means of doing so. In this case, she has a unhealthy high priority with tanks, and the three of us tried to reason with her.

Doesn't matter now, it's in the past. And I've run Aurum Vale so much now that I expect people to be a little on edge anyway.

+ the fact that it's painfully obvious when a tank is complete shit, whereas as dps you still can hide and get carried, and if someone dares to call you out on it, they're obviously using forbidden third party tools of doom and destruction and shall be banned from the game for all eternity, because toxic.

Have people changed the Ifrit EX strategy regarding healers?

I havn't done Ifrit EX in almost a year (i think) and when I did it back then healers used 2 strategies

1) 1 Healer Left + 1 right, and after Ifrit Dashes you would stay on the side you are
2) Same thing but after dashes the healers would go back to their original side.

Anyway in the group yesterday, each time the searing wind wore off, I saw the WHM changing positions. Like when my wind wore off, WHM ran on my side, when when his wore off he ran back on his original side. I actually didn't pay much attention exept running away from him so i don't blast him off or him blast me off.

But after the win pony dropped and I won it (yay).

So WHM complained Of course it's always people who doesn't know the fight that gets the drops. YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO CHANGE SIDE EACH TIME A WIND WEARS OFF IFRIT 101 fucking scholar. Then i got kicked.

I actually don't mind since I got the pony, but is that strategy new? or was the WHM just a moron?

Considering all of the, as we call em..."leftovers" are able to get through ex primals now the strategies have been changing on the NA datacenters I noticed (I play on JP as main and NA when I play with my brother.)

While that strategy is..stupid honestly, I did notice that change. Likewise with Titan ex we now have people saying to put the healer under titan and the DPS to run to the LEFT of titan and to drop the potato adds to the north and destroy the east most bomb. So while it doesn't happen a lot (thankfully) I and a few others have gotten yelled at for doing Titan Ex like we did the past 2 years.

In Ramuh ex people want the Black Mage to bait most and for Brds to play Paeon whenever possible. So yeah..you can honestly tell now with the pony incentive, that the "leftovers" are the ones doing the primals mainly because the random change in strategy to the least efficient and sometimes most retarded makes it blatantly obvious.

People who insist on NA data center that a fight is done only one way (and not explaining the minutia of that one way vs all the other ways) are idiots. Consider yourself lucky that they kicked you after you got your pony Rata. Now you didn't have to stay out of courtesy.

The healers swap sides ALL THE TIME thing sounds stupid but the idea is to keep wind on only one side of the arena. It's also pretty pointless because this should be one of the least problematic parts of the fight.

I've remarked PF going back to 1 tank for Garuda but 2 healers too

The Titan thin that Destinye posted, I havn't seen it yet, when i did Titan last time, it seemed like it was before.

But yeah PF doing dumb stuff

Ramuh PT of 2 tanks, and each tank keep ramuh until 2 stacks of debuff

The group leader should always take a minute before starting to explain which strategy the group is going to use.

I'm not even sure a 100% drop rate on mounts would convince me to farm them in PF.

Makes sense to me, if the healer with wind is always on the left then the DPS always know the safe way to go after eruptions, the melee are always safe killing nails clockwise, and you avoid the seared healer being in a bad location during dashes.

The non-seared healer just hangs out in the middle with the DPS (ideally slightly off to the side so they don't have to dodge eruptions) and when the swap happens each healer just pops sprint and swaps places.

That sounds terrible, and I also got spoiled on Titan EX the other night with a high-DPS group.

Destroying both gaols before Upheavel stomp, and murdering both adds where they spawn because who has time to pull shit when we all know how to deal with two puddles on the arena for a minute. We never saw superbomb but I'm always for the "mark&kill the one right beside Titan so you can melee DPS both" method.

Still need my god damn Titan pony though, can never win the lot whenever it does bloody drop.

However, the guy didn't even apologize for it and was a complete dick about it, not having a single clue that maybe, just maybe, someone would be upset about someone taking an item they had commented.

Should I have left the party? The party leader didn't even reprimand him despite the childish behavior he displayed in party.....

I did get the casting head next drop though so maybe karma works.

However, the guy didn't even apologize for it and was a complete dick about it, not having a single clue that maybe, just maybe, someone would be upset about someone taking an item they had commented.

Should I have left the party? The party leader didn't even reprimand him despite the childish behavior he displayed in party.....

I did get the casting head next drop though so maybe karma works.

The only time healers should go on the right side is when the group is on the left side of ifrit. The other way works too but you have to pay more attention for an old content. I bet you don't want too much focus on this encounter.

I do PvP on my main, have never done PvP on my alt, but I don't recall PvP unlocking any gear sets.
