Just got home from work. First it kept refreshing 75 players in queue, now its either erroring me out or refreshing 1 player in queue.

This. Not to mention having to quest 5 of them for each zone. I thought it was going to be more of a convenience thing, not a total chore. I feel like by the time you're done getting attuned to the air or whatever, you'll be done with everything the zone has to offer anyway =/

It seems that how it worked for Coerthas at least. You get the last quest current with one of the last missions in the zone.

I'm perfectly fine with it, paying your way to flight that can be used anywhere and then just buying another license for special mounts is retarded. I've had plenty to do in each zone after unlocking flight.

Is Aether STILL down? I see there's a post about it from 2 hours ago.

Is this just a congestion issue?

I ended up just bee-lining straight to the quests that give me aether once I get the one from MSQ. All the fetch quest drivel is miles faster done with a flying mount.


Complaint: Still no audio device selection. Night time in expansion zones doesn't look right. It's too grey.

I' mainly annoyed because I don't know which chains could lead up to a current. Wanted to save as many side quests as possible for another job but I find myself doing them just in case >.>'

I've only done the western highlands so far but none of the currents come from quest chains there, just standalone quests.

If you can't find them you probably need to progress more in the MSQ, but idk if it works like that for the other zones.

Yeah I only did Coerthas up until now too, but I heard someone say that they are also behind chains sometime and now I'm paranoid

Why does hovering over an aethernet shard not tell you what the location is? Or why can't you click a map to teleport there like you can with aetherytes? I don't know what all these locations in Ishgard are called so I keep teleporting to the wrong place.

So I updated the ps4 version and pc version no on thursday. Yesterday I played pc np, decide to play ps4 this morning.

It activates the expansion then download another 2gig zzzzzzz well time to eat breakfast I guess

Don't worry they'll update the aethernet location names to more recognizable names like they did with cities in 6 months or so (long after you've already learned what all the locations are).

Instancing to avoid congestion is great but it is stupid as shit that it doesn't automatically put you in the same instance as your party members. Makes trying to quest with a friend a total pain in the ass.

100% agree, and it's made even more annoying by the story duties (since they put you back into random instances of the zone after exiting). The intent of the new instance system is good, but the implementation feels very half-assed.
