Doing more damage than the DPS on WAR in dungeons was to be expected.

But now it's happening on DRK too.

Someone once said the additional skills 50-60 make the bads worse, I think they were right.

I think it was Taint who said it, if I recall well, and as I said somewhere DRK could have an amazing time DPSing if Blood Weapon was a stance or if its effect was transferred to Dark Side.

And I here I am waiting on the faceroll content to end.....

Seriously, T1 is even more easy than Syrcus Tower, seeing people rage quit after 1 wipe cause everyone was too lazy to explain things is sad & hilarous both at once.

I was looking forward to the DA bug being fixed for DA+Abyssal but the MP cost is just too high ._.

I'm just getting DRK to 60 at this point because I've come this far, I doubt I'll ever really play it much.

Agree that they really need to lower the MPs cost or increase the effect and/or Potency to give you a good value for mana, the job is not unplayable but it could definately be better .

In XI? In XI I have never came across this level of butt-hurtness, sissyness and lack of common sense, and I played it for close to 11 years. There definitely might have been some, but not to that extent.

"I never came across that level in XI" does not mean "That level never existed in XI" I just never saw it that bad in XI compared to XIV where I come across it every single days, Endgame was done with large LS groups so only real drama I encountered was when there was Ninja lot or favoritism, but for things such as Nyzul & stuff I never saw the "1 fail = kick" or "EXP only." People just didn't quit on you when you failed these, because shits happen.

tbh depending how bad the wipe happened it can be smart to ditch after 1 go, sometimes people are that bad. These are the same people that would've made CT worse if there weren't more people in the run to carry them.

I played XI since the 2001 Japanese beta.

I have -never- seen it that bad as I do in this modern age MMO society.

And I played RO, where you can wipe just by standing on the wrong tile.

28 runs of the aery later and I have not yet seen orthodox tank boots drop.

I am prepared to die in this terrible place. Those boots are sexy as fuck.

Completed my first run of Aery with my buddy with flying colors. Decided to run it again to see if we can get lucky with drops, and we got two horrible dps. Bard got hit with every AoE imaginable but was so far away that Medicas didn't reach, the dps never responded to fetters and always died to it, and their DPS was so abysmally low that the only way to get past the add phase was for me to Holy spam, which I couldn't do because my mp got drained so hard from raising and cure bombing.

Tank and I tried to teach DPS how to do the fight, but once the DPS literally wouldn't respond to a raise we decided to dip out.

This is why Alexander Normal is faceroll content guys.

The FFXI and FFXIV systems are so completely different that there's really no comparison to be made. In FFXI you really only got one chance at something for the vast majority of the content, and then you had to farm more pops or wait for respawn or whatever.

You didn't attempt the same content a half dozen times in a row because outside of stuff like Moblin Maze Mongers you just didn't have the opportunity. Sky might be an exception when it came to boss pops, but if you wiped three times in a row something was seriously fucking wrong, and even then you didn't kick everyone because you needed bodies to farm more pops.

Complete apples and oranges, if you ask me.

I feel your pain, did maybe 30 runs of neverreap when I 1st got access to it, I now have full MNK & MCH set, never saw a tank piece once.

Pretty much done with BRD. That Sidewinder Nerf was completely uncalled for.

I missed a week post-release due to Father's Day at home + moving to a new place and Comcast failing to include a wireless gateway in its equipment shipment. As such, I hit 60 only a couple days ago and was sitting at i164 last night. Wanting to do Alex (i170), I rushed headlong into roulettes + DF expert dungeon spam. I think last night may have been the worst possible night possible to do this; everyone of middling commitment and talent levels was spamming Alex, leaving the ultra casuals and me in the roulette pool. My night unfolded as such:

1) Expert Roulette (In Progress 0/3 Fractals) - I zone in to an 0/3 progress group that has only 55 minutes left on the total dungeon timer. I start running to the first boss and ask what happened before I joined; BLM just says "HAHAHA just wait and see." We proceed to spend 17 minutes fighting the first boss, setting the world record for most Clemencies used by a single PLD in one encounter. As bad as the healer was, the DPS were Princess Bride levels of inconceivable. Boss finally dies; I am too nice in random parties, but this was too much. Bailed and re-queued.

2) Expert Roulette (Neverreap) - Uneventful other than taking 52 minutes...

3) Trial Roulette (Ravana HM) - God, is there even an enrage on this encounter? Felt like it took 20 minutes. OT + 1 DPS knocked off on first knockback and 2x DPS knocked off on 2nd. End up struggling through and finishing the last ~40% with 4.

4) Low-Level Roulette (Tam Tara) - This was the bright spot of the evening; thankfully I was tank so I led a bee-line through the dungeon to the final boss and it was over.

5) High-Level Roulette (Copperbell Hard) - And this is what made me log off for the night. Took close to 70 minutes, most of which was on the final boss. Healer and both DPS had never done it before; healer and 1 DPS were fresh to the game and had ~3100 HP. Trying to be a good ambassador to new players, I shepherded them along. The bomb / golem fight was a mess; I finally took over bomb duty on the third try. The flaming bridge fight was ridiculous; even marking the Flambeaus on spawn, no one but me ever killed them. 1 DPS single target LBed a slime for no reason TWICE. The last fight against Ouranos and worm was just so, so bad. Took like 6 attempts because no one could do rock duty despite the most explicit instructions possible and a macro that said "WORM SEARCHING FOR FODDER - DROP ROCK ON SAND! <se.2>"

After #5, I couldn't do it anymore.

Yeah Heavensward brought a lot of new people in general let alone that the majority of them are new to MMOs period so prepare your butt for disappointment and mayad in the future.

In more lighthearted news this:
