I had an alliance that couldn't get past Angaru Manyu the other night never underestimate casual awfulness.
I got to see LB3 in Thornmarch HM tonight.
So the Brume is supposed to be the place where all the poor people live.
Running thru the area.............there aren't even any dwellings in it, no houses, no doors, there's a couple blocked off ramps to no where but that's it.
The rest is just rubble and wooden scaffolding, where the hell do these poor people supposedly live?
Even Hilda doesn't even have a place to hang out, she just stands there in the street with her posse.
The impression I got is that the Brume shown is just the edge of it, where it intersects with the city proper above.
If that's the only portion of the Brume that exists, then the Houses have nothing to worry about 'cause there's only like a dozen people who live there anyway. Peasant insurrection is gonna be over in 5 minutes.
I always knew YoshiP was BSing whenever he talked about the new zones being more dangerous, but it feels like they shortened the mobs' leashes even more in Heavensward's zones. Trying to fight more than 1 mob at a time in some zones is a nightmare.
You never played FFXI where a mob would chase you until the end of time. (Or you changed zones).
On another note the mobs don't feel more dangerous. They just have a shitload more HP.
Just did an underszied 8 man T8. Died to all but one ballistic missile because people can't take the advice of "GET THE FUCK OUT OF CIRCLES"
I guess T5 really isn't a gate anymore when a SMN and SCH can duo the damned thing anymore.
The only place I find at all dangerous (pre flying) that actually did make me feel like I was back in a FFXI dungeon is the Arkhitekton in Dravanian Hinterlands. Mostly because it's small, closed off, and full of goblins.
Could have nothing to do with harassment or general enjoyment from not getting murdered upon entering a zone. Some of the things you say are honestly hilarious and amazing. I mean only recently Drav Hinterlands had a massive gathering of level 58 enemies that happened to murder anyone who was unlucky enough to zone incorrectly.
But nah shit like that just adds character lol
Rose tinted glasses strong in this topic, but I suppose it's human nature to completely disregard the awful things tied to precious memories.
Even in full 180 some people fail hard with their DPS, honestly most of the time I have to tell them to get Shadow Flare & Flamming Arrow ready for when Bismarck come down or to actually use it when the adds are about to pop. I spent the whole week trying to get it down and only ever reached P3 in one single party where the healers was derping badly with their Dragon Killer.
This is why this whole vertical gear progression & iLv is bullshit, it does give people the illusion of playing their job correctly while all that happen is the content being overgeared. I never knew DPSing was that hard.
