I've been leveling up DRG to play as my DPS class (wasn't thrilled with BRD changes); currently ~46. The DPS in dungeons around this range have just been terrible lately; like this should not happen:

Don't worry. They will be doing the same amount of damage in 51+ dungeons. Please look forward to it!
Mh, looks like the Chaos server cluster (or just phoenix?) just kicked the bucket. Got 60ked, then 10105ed and now server data cannot be retrieved. Welp, shit.
Regret wasting my leves on Miner, because LTW and WVR are 54 and there are no good crafts to spam for quick EXP
MCH40 is by far the best job quest fight I've yet had so far and it's a shame it's only a (pretty easy) job quest fight and not a full blown raid. SE take notes!
Can't finish the WHM 52 quest because of R0 lockups. I don't know what it is, but when the goobers show up, it happens and the whole duty falls apart.
I do not have good luck for Alexander in Duty Finder. I do not think I will get my win before the week end.
Getting my "2nd" job into North Thanalan, I've come to notice the actual EXP penalty to being in a party with too big of a gap.
If I am level 40, and there is a level 50(51?) or higher in the party, I can not get EXP from killing mobs. No matter how much damage we/I deal, no matter if we get initial tag claim or not. I just don't.
Only have to deal with it for a level or two I guess but EVERY party here has 52+ people. It's fucking annoying for both of us.
Just cleared the Vault.
Spoiler: show
Depending on the job, Maat wasn't hard at all lol

Was raubahn the guy who you had to kill 3 times, and each time he raise he got some dmg taken - depending on the type of damage you did?
Spirit Surge means you're already into the late game Genkais. Consider that originally you'd have had Call Wyvern as your 2H, and considerably shittier gear options, more than likely.
In the Alexander story fight. He was also the Maat equivalent for Blue Mages, and the fight was basically just a complete battle of RNG. Depending on what spells he chose to use he could kill you in seconds. You had to do a silly amount of item prep work to have decent odds at killing him before he killed you. You could engage him and immediately get hit by a Head Butt (stun + surprisingly big damage coming from him) and then immediately get fucked by some big damage spell if he felt like it.
My last Trial Roulette ended in story-mode Bismark, and either there were four vore fetishists who planned this all out, or I'm kinda impressed how bad DPS can get in this game. One run we didn't even get <i>one</i> of the Serpents down before he cast his Ultimate, even burning the limit break.
It'd be one thing if they were just marginal, or if they were just bad at stuff that only comes up in a party. I'll fully admit that I'm not a great tank, and when I play bard it's hard to remember TP song. But there was a summoner in there that didn't cast Bio II a single time for the first four pulls until I pointed it out. That's not just a question of how could they be that terrible, but how they could manage to make it through the story quests this far.
As BLM I hate it when I'm stronger than the other DPS.. With my 2.3-3sec cast times, I can't carry the other 3(or other) well enough. And I usually don't care but ya know, the slowness does get obvious.
Complaint: Had TITAN NORMAL a few days ago. Got a PLD that didn't use any of her aggro skills. I figured, she didn't know what they were, so I pointed them out. To which I was told, not to tell her how to do her job. Ok so riding auto-attack and causing two wipes, leading to you getting kicked, is doing your job? We were wondering how the hell she got as far as she did..
I've been seeing a lot of failed DPS checks recently. I helped a friend do bismarc story and we failed the snake DPS check 3 times. Then I went into bis-ex farm, and we failed the very first DPS check, the first chitin armor, like 3 or 4 times out of 6 pulls. I got AK hardmode in a roulette, and almost failed the DPS gauntlet with 5 seconds left before the demon walls came in.
I'm baffled at the bis-ex fail, the PF had ilvl 175 and everyone had at least an i170 weapon, how did we fail? I was parsing with ACT and the few fails the BLM in the party was doing maybe 350 encdps on the chitin/corona, is that normal for BLMs on the chitin/corona? I havent played BLM yet in HW, so I'm unaware of how they play now.
Who would have thought a game with no way to measure your DPS would breed shitty DPS.
