Better in the sense that it's more useful is not what we're talking about.
Aside from the VIT (which I mentioned as a quirk of the back-and-forth [main stat]/VIT values seen on all 136+ gear) it has the same stat caps.

I don't know what SE did but just logged in for the first time today after work and can't play because the lag is so bad.
+1 with the lag, is really horrible tonight after the update.
FATE buff is stupid. FATEs give 50% more EXP now but they're zerged to shit and take three times as long to complete because of the games wonky scaling system and garbage playerbase. Was significantly faster to just 2-3 man FATEs in the new zones before the patch, now the decent maps are worthless because a massive cluster of people are doing them. When can we get a significant buff to dungeon exp like we got back in 2.X?
i got yelled at for doting multiple mobs and called a mop
does anyone know what that means like is he calling me the thing you use to clean the floor with
The games screwed me up because the first thing that came to my min was Mists of Pandaria
Don't worry people always call me a rag ; ;
Thought about doing a quick DR:Trial and I get Ravana HM:
DRK, DRG, BRD and BLM fall off the edge.
AST waste our LB3 trying to revive them.
AST complain the fight wouldn't have taken over 20 mins if the WHM dps-ed more.
At least it was good commendation farming I guess.
Got that on last Tuesday while doing EX roulette, ended up in a preformed FC party in Fractal Continum with a group of 3 French idiots from Moogle Server, the WHM was using single target DPS magic on the wrong mobs making my job more difficult, needless to say she became a dick when I politely asked her to focus on the right mobs.
Couldn't vote kick either as they were 3 friends, had to deal with them.
So you're a tank complaining about it being difficult to keep threat on more than 1 target vs a WHM DPS?
I believe the point is if you're going to use single-target DPS, you should be focusing down one mob. Not only it dies faster, but the tank doesn't have to waste GCDs locking down threat.
Thank you, seems like Jahaudant didn't get the point.
In Fractal you have those Ahriman doing AoE, one Khimaira doing his Sheep Ice AoE too & some other not mortal but annoying things. As most DPS just don't give a damn about stunning/avoiding these, whose job do you think that is? I did not complain about losing hate to a WHM single DPSing, I just said I came across one who made my job more difficult and she was a dick about it, while I was the one really trying to make her job easier so she could keep DPSing.
Yeah, even when I mark a target to focus, the DRG or NIN almost always tries to solo one I don't have marked, so if the healer doesn't heal them I sure as hell won't take hate back and let them die, but of course I'm the "bad guy" for letting someone die in that fashion. I can hold hate against a SMN and BLM AoEing, but I'm no going to bother when the 2 melee could just focus down one at a time but instead split off.
If you wanted to die that badly, shoulda just told me, I coulda saved the gcd.
Ravana HM is entertaining. Unlike my experiences with Bismark, this fight takes almost the entire time limit to finish. Because people(not including tanks) like to stand in the front and get assplastered, or literally get throw off(they happen to be in the section of the wall he's going to destroy).
I don't support an official in-game DPS meter because it will be abused. But yeah the issue I encounter a lot with Bismark HM is failing the DPS check with the snakes.
Edit: I CAN understand the reason people want it in the game.
About FATES: It only took me 3 hours to go from 41 to 44 but the clusterfuck of players is real. If I didn't know any better half of Excalibur was there lol.
I'm all in support for in-game parsers...
But this is the face I have whenever I read people "only want it to better themselves and not bully others."

I just want to be able to say, "look at this drg, he's doing barely more dps than one of the tanks" and I want the group to be able to see it, and make adjustments to the group so we don't sit there and wipe over and over because we can't meet a dps check. like last night I was trying to clear bismark-ex and we failed at the 2 snakes dps check about 7 times before we all just said, it's time to quit. I knew it was the mch that was doing around 500 encdps, but no one else did, and im not going to get reported for using a parser, because someone is butthurt.
The problem here is that most ppl will go "Oh you DRG your DPS sucks, learn to play! /kick." While it is understandable for anyone to be wanting to get the frustration out, its how parsers get a bad image.
I keep believing its SE's fault, my MCH is @ 52 and this whole 50% proc is BS. I must be a terrible MCH for sure and I wont deny it, but goddamnit they could have done so much better with the job because there is a lot of nonsense with its gameplay.
whats wrong with kicking a person not doing his job? would you drag along a healer that dps but heals noone? if the DPS cant meet the DPS quota then they are not doing their job period, no need to smother them. hard fact:"your DPS sucks go learn your rotations or get better gear or switch class". healers get blamed all the time when someone dies even if its not their fault, dont see why one shouldnt make it visible which DPS in your PT sux
Don't get me wrong, I never said that its wrong to kick people from the party for not meeting a DPS criteria, but the way its done by most players (which I summarized a little), because its anti-social and from the GMs perspective you're the one in fault, even if you accurately stated "DPS PLEASE know your FULL ROTATION & BRING FOOD please!" while that said DPS came in with no food & no clue on how his job rotations works.
Add the idiotic and unreasonable behavior of lots of player on top, this should sum up why they're against parser.
