I was expecting at the absolute WORST the 2nd week of October.

The time between 2.5 and 3.0 was 5 long fucking months because of the expansion.

3.0->3.1 is looking like it's gonna come close to matching that, wow.

By far one of the most undeserved vacations ever; right up there with Tanaka's Thailand trip to do blow off ladyboy hookers after the launch of 1.0.

For what it's worth, Reddit's reaction to the date is similar to ours, with the only difference being that SE deserved the vacation, but should hire more staff if it is going to set them back by that much.

I was super salty last night.

That said, it feels like I do everything I can but it all ends up being worthless because in the end it's all on the healers. I mitigate auto-attacks as much as possible with the lesser cooldowns, Rampart/Conval pre-split, Clemency/Rampart/Sentinel -> HG -> Clemency/Rampart/Sentinel the buster. Clemency most of the time is interrupted by an auto-attack.

My healers are definitely inept. I just needed to vent because it feels like PLD should be better at mitigating if it's going to be touted as the "Lower DPS, higher mitigation" tank.

RF is Magic btw. The only physical attacks the boss uses are Auto-attacks and Hyperthermal Missiles (and Quick Landing if you want to be nitpicky).

I tanked it with PLD ilvl182, so PLD is definitely not the problem in this fight. If your healers are ok there's also a huge room for sword oath.

PUGs on Hyperion sucks major dick and needs to be carried, and it's fucking aggravating that I have to rely on shit players to go through savage when I pass all the checks.

There was a lot of content, the issue is that it was more of the same and nothing really new showed up. Maybe they should've tried to add more original content and delay/replace other things. Something like the FC airship content would've been perfect for launch and to ease the long wait for 3.1.

They surely deserve a holiday, its human and everyone need it. However the content will have to be something new and refreshing because giving the same thing for two years and calling it "new content" for the sake of a few new coats of paint is unacceptable.
