I can let copy pasted textures fly in Alexander...given that it's supposed to be a huge mechanical monstrosity I'm surprised there's not more repeated designs. Hell, the next tier's areas should be just mirrors of this current set as they'll be in the left arm instead of the right.

Same content but backwards. Manipulator first, then legs, then fluid that goes in reverse, scorpions, gobwalkers with jagd dolls at the start, two oppressors and one runs away, and final raid boss Faust. Make the DPS checks really obvious.

Only this time for a unique mechanic (it is a new raid after all!) Faust will use Typhoon and you have to fight him in a room with a teleporter where the teleporter however will generate a shield in easy mode so he does no damage to you.

I hate Keeper of the Lake.

I hate players who don't know how to bait or play their jobs to at least 50% of their potential.

I always hope RNG keeps pulling my number up, so that doesn't happen, but it often doesn't.

I take that back, Primal throwdown. All at once, or at least back-to-back or several mechanics at a time. Like how Ultima Weapon is but with the actual primals. Ramuh's mechanics alone on top of any other primal would be pretty amusing. Missed un-terroring that guy? Landslide coming right at him.

I cried a little inside to find that Fenrir in this game is NO WHERE near as epically hard as his FFXI counterpart.

The only thing that was hard about Fenrir in XI was that he'd chew through a tank quickly, and his 2hr would either one-shot the whole group or do no damage at all, for reasons. That and the 15 minute trek back to that BCNM entrance if there's a full wipe with no RR.


I don't get why they don't recycle unique dungeon bosses like him or Diabolos as trial fights though like Chimera/Hydra. 90% of the work is already done, just ramp up the mechanics and throw in some shit that doesn't need new animations.

I totally forgot that Fenrir was just another faceroll boss in this game. =/

FFXI Fenrir was great. That fight was one of my favorite memories from the game. Tanked him on Ninja and got a Mijin Gakure kill on him. I thought my friend from MI was going to fly to my house and kill me because of the heart attack I gave her since she was the healer. XD
