It sucks when you know that you are personally good enough to clear content but your group can't, even if they happen to be FC members.

Sorry I don't buy this. I'm betting that you're not good enough and your skill level matches with the content you are able to complete. If your raid group is not close friends, you did a shitty job of screening who you let in your group. Being able to identify who is bad and good for your group is just as important of a skill to have as just being a good player so that you can surround yourself by able bodies to complete content.

If you're actually good you'd be able to find a group to accept you.

I never said that. I said I didn't have the ability to make it easier.

I just can't seem to beat A1S with a PUG with PLD, and I just can't seem to make it easier.

Our cooldowns can't sustain the continous damage, Clemency and Stoneskin constantly get interrupted, and I can't heal myself like the other tanks can. Rampart and Conval can only do so much

It's like I have no control over this fight at all. It literally feels like there's nothing I can do to empower my team.

And special "fuck you" to Clemency getting interrupted four times in a row.

Kinda true. In reality for the most part, Savage in general in comparison. WAR is pretty much beast mode everywhere. It's not like XI where taking a PLD due to their Ochain and Aegis could seriously change the tide of certain content. But then again, yoshi wanted to make it to where "You don't chose one job over another for content" so who knows.

If you seen any of my complaint posts here you'd see I complain a great deal about having to hope that my group is good enough to clear content. This isn't just with Savage but also with Ex Primals. Being a raid leader didn't change this problem. My static constantly falls apart so it's literally no different from being in a PUG at this point.

I'm assuming being in a hardcore raiding FC gives a different perspective, but I don't have that luxury. It sucks when you know that you are personally good enough to clear content but your group can't, even if they happen to be FC members.

I haven't thought of that but yes. PLD in FFXI was shit DPS in exchange for broken mitigation. Just like a PLD without Aegis/Ochain was worthless and one with both was priceless even if it was just to hold multiple NMs or adds.

Saturday I decided to keep my sub because I didn't want to leave my static in the shit, today it disbanded because...

People wouldn't show up as expected in the evenings but then would proceed to go do AS with Friends/non FC members during the day. Static leader got fed up and just left then an additional 2 members dropped. Fuck, had I know i'd have canceled my sub for this month.

Alike you, we were on A1S progression with a few adjustements needed for the DPS as we wiped often at 5%>.

How is it his fault if his static members don't show up when they're expected to? He might have exagerrated his posts a little saying Hyperion is bad, but in the same time he's right about the amount of pugs people being bad in general, all the good players have been taken since the beginning and are now on A3/A4S progressions.
