that's like 10 hours of food for me man
Been fighting with myself when it comes to that kind of thing. I have about 2M on me right now and sub 1M Company Aketons are popping up on the market board. Seriously considering an awesome glamour over dumping that money into my crafts. <_<;
Just wait till 3.1. Sit on anything till then imo.
^pretty much the only thing money is really useful for, glamours lol(food/pots cost next to nothing to make :3)
Someone brought up group goals and that's extremely important - you need to know what you want as the raid leader, what your group wants, and build/lead the team accordingly.
To be more specific with your situation: if you want to take the raid seriously and people in your group don't, the right answer isn't barking at them, it's replacing them (ideally they shouldn't have been invited at all). Reaching a compromise is fine (if not outright necessary) but when people settle for something they don't want at all it just creates unnecessary stress for everyone involved. You just have to accept that some people aren't meant to raid together even if they get along fine outside raids.
Obviously all of this is easier said than done when the raid scene is the way it is in this game.
Either way, it's possible to keep a relaxed/friendly attitude and still clear, they're not mutually exclusive things. You do need to find the right people for that sort of group though (like with any type of group).
No joke. I've never had a moment like in FFXI where I seriously thought "How am I going to gear up X job for level Y? Better start farming gil" it's always something like "That would be an awesome glamour item, but it costs a couple million gil. Better start passively saving the money I'm not spending."
I'm not completely complaining though. There was almost nothing as soul crushing as busting your ass for something like Arhat's+1 and seeing the price jump another 10-15% over the sale history. =/
You figure they'll ever resort to XI methods of making non-raid events that have a gil entry fee?
lol, no
Gil (and by extension the entire economy) matters less now than it ever has and that's a trend I don't see breaking.
the realization that multi-slot over single slot glamours won't come until after hallowween ruining my ghost costumes
The gil issue is one of the few things I'm glad is nothing like FFXI.
For me its like, how can I afford that Sushi or, how many merits can I get off this Hedgehog Pie?
Thats why I almost want accuracy to be a real stat in extreme roulette (not current expert, but someday when we get something like expert +1 difficulty). Make food something you think about at all combat points in a game. So instead of "is this coil or not", it could be "how much of a shitter do I want to be?/Does this party deserve me eating food today?". lol
if anything they should do the opposite and remove accuracy checks entirely
