I just started GW2 and decided to check out the subreddit. Right on the front page there's a thread titled "HoT is bashing my face in and I'm loving it." The difference in communities at a glance man.
Also, you always hear people referencing Yoshi say "Get Gud", but then he and his team decide to nerf content outside of the endgame raids. Is he just mocking the people this game is marginalizing?
sounds just like the pollyanna bullshit i read on ffxiv literally every single day. don't see how it's any different.

Don't worry. Other games are getting the treatment as well.Originally Posted by Kotaku

Been lagging since basically last week sometime, around the same time servers went down for a while to manage the EU database. It's been awful for progression. Constant freezes randomly and it's only gotten worse ._. makes A3S progression shitty.
Game always seems to go to shit when its close to update time.
SE probably copying their installers to each individual machine. And then re-copying the newer versions of the installers after they fix another string of spaghetti.
Playing some Wildstar on the side after getting dragged into in by some of my XIV bros, and being sad at how much basic shit it has that XIV lacks, and vice-versa.
We're talking simple stuff, like being able to change telegraph colours, castbars on enemy name labels (doubled with telegraphs filling up based on castbar, not pulsing like ARR), and FoV options. Most of Wildstar's own shortcomings can be band-aided with its add-on support, which XIV is still lacking.
Speaking of which, add-on support is 'supposed' to be ready for 3.1, but I'm feeling like that's not going to be the case with how quiet they've been about it since it's supposed to be a huge thing for the game and something you'd want the community to be able to beta test on.
Addon support was supposed to be ready over a year ago. Have no doubt they'll be very loud about it when it's finally happening.
Yeah, there's no way add-on support will be just a small bullet in the patch notes, and really only the minor bullet points are left unannounced for 3.1 at this point. SE is just hoping that nobody notices they passed yet another deadline. And even if someone does ask in an interview, SE will just dodge the question as usual.
I feel like SE can fix some of the QoL issues players have but they won't so as not to devalue the PS3/4 too much.
I believe that they don't have enough developers to address some of the QoL issues. There's a lot of things that could use improvement, which aren't overly difficult or game breaking, but they're never addressed. The marketboard is in serious need of a revamp because of the bloated item lists. Crafting suffers from this same issue. Unfortunately, both have stayed relatively the same since 2.0.
There are plenty of other areas that could use fixing too, but chances are that'll never happen with the current dev team's size.
Add-on support MIGHT finally come when they drop PS3.
MAYBE
Probably never tho.
Nah. They said they'll simply add popular/approved add-ons in an update to the PS3/PS4. So the only thing holding them back is they know the "Yoshi can do no wrong" crowd is loud enough in their desires of not needing it.
