I fucking hate the new devout-hoodie wearing character they've announced.

Not because of her outfit, which i would LOVE TO have, but no.

I fucking hate her because she's goddamn adorable, she has a cute voice, and looks like she might be even more adorable in personality and Square Enix is going to fucking kill her after the next expansion because she's not Titsfillia, Goggles girl, Snarky McMidgetMage, Fucking Nobody Talks Like That Arbitrary Shakepseare Guy, Trappy McHotPnats, BindingCoilOfMyDadsABirdNow McHotPants, or Albino Token Neko.

Why do they goddamn bother giving depth to new (and even not so new) characters if they're just going to kill them off soon afterwards?

My money's on the twist that she IS Titsfillia after having managed to do that whole echo-into-another-body-after-dying thing (though that logic may not work, since the sahagin that did that reverted back into his original appearance after doing that)

She's actually mentioned as far back as 2.0, in a cutscene (i think escaping Castrum Centri) where Minfilia's side conversation isn't displayed. You're talking with Cid or Alphinaud (idr which) and Minfilia is chatting with someone on linkshell in the background and calls her Krile. (Not to mention Students of Baldesion are mentioned early on and Baldesion is Galuf/Krile's last name in FF5. Tho Galuf isn't mentioned by name iirc, only as "grandfather")

So was the Tavnazian Archipelago. Speaking of which, when we do run into Omega I hope to god it's not a silly 4 man dungeon boss or MSQ fodder like Ultima was. (Especially considering Omega and Shinryu are linked through newer FF lore.)

canonically it disappeared and there was an aetherial disturbance similar to what happened in the Praetorium when Ultima was cast-- we don't know what the fuck actually happened yet

If they kept making an expansion require previous scenario clear there'd be hope!!! But wow Yoshida caved to casuals and we got the time bubble extended to next expansion content too

Perhaps they should go the FFXI route and use the handwavy "The Archduke is...indisposed" route, but alter dialogue for those who finished the missions.
