Usually if they're decent enough to reach a hard enrage they can clear it just by cleaning a few things up.

It's the horrible parties that can't get first the first damage check that you need to worry about.

Yeah, I know. It's was just really frustrating because people were dropping because of reasons like "Sorry, gonna go make $$$" and "I really forgot how long this fight was".

That annoying as shit UI bug where if you're scrolling up in the log as you receive a new line the odd time, the window keeps scrolling down (slowly) until it reaches the bottom.

While I don't trust the XIV team to do it right but they could just mimic the "hold" feature from FFXI instead honestly.

yes, you can. kinda. you have to do some hijinks with your controller calibration but you can switch any of the controller button functions to whatever other button you want, or remove them entirely. i switched right bumper to left stick click and switched autorun to right stick click so i dont have the default assignment for right stick click (resets the camera or some stupid shit) but now i have a blank button (right bumper) which i can then use as a teamspeak keybind.



tab is l/r on d-pad, though. functions exactly the same. up/down scrolls through party window, l/r tabs through with whatever filter youve set, which is normally bound to right bumper and the primary four buttons, kinda like jumping to a chotbar. you can configure those, too. i have one for all, one for engaged enemies, one for alliance, one for party. iirc. might have changed it idk i havent actually played in a couple weeks. anyway default for when you sheath/unsheath your weapon is all/enemies respectively so that gives you 2 more filters, which im pretty sure you can also customize.

this game has hella options. they're just kinda spread out. one of these days ill write a guide...

Doesn't JoyToKey let you do that, or does it mess up the rest of the controller working like a controller?

Never used it. I used controlMK for TES4 but its long outdated. And ill try that other method when I can stop being held hostage by XBCX.

I started playing again this week after a five month absence. People really have gotten bad at this game. I just had my first ever wipe on the first boss of Sastasha hard mode. I didn't think it was possible to wipe to that thing but the attack that does a lot of damage was picking people off. After the fight the tank and healer started blaming each other and talking about oral sex in French before rage quitting. I'm glad because I don't see how we would have made it past the second boss. I was only trying to do my roulette. Looking at the reward I'm starting to think it's not worth it.

People have been wiping to that forever. It's one of the very few fights where you are guaranteed to wipe if shit isn't cleansed. And of course, the game not only never teaches you how to cleanse, it's also totally inconsistent about what can and can't be cleansed.

Totally on the healer, though.

And yeah, that's one reason I stopped playing. I'm still subbed, and I still log in for statics and the events and the occasional chat, but I need to be dragged into doing anything else. I just don't have the mental energy to put up with people's shit.
