They really, really, really need to make an option to filter out all DoTs from other players in the status effect display.

90% of the goddamn status effect bar is DoT effects from fucking everyone and nobody needs to see that shit for any reason, ever.

Trying to find the 1-2 status effects that actually matter to you is a fucking nightmare in all that mess, I'm about to put an ACT callout in for Storm's Eye because fuck all trying to find that shit in the constantly shifting icon vomit while actually dealing with the fight mechanics themselves and my own rotation.

I could go for dupe DoTs from other players getting combined into a stacked version, showing just the duration of the longest one.

A shame there's no real organization to how debuff/dots are listed otherwise.

Other than there being no reason for them to be there at all, it would screw with your own rotations if someone else used the same enfeeb as you.

DoTs don't overwrite eachother, they're not relevant to anyone but the player using them, and the only duration you'd want to see is your own.

On the one hand I agree, on the other I'd get even more annoyed when the hard cap on debuffs is reached and I'm wondering why the fuck I can't apply any of my DoTs or debuffs in ST or on hunt mobs.

You'd have still seen your own personal debuffs/dots in the situation I wouldn't mind. I just don't really need to know how long the other 15 individual Storm's Eyes are up for.

More annoying when you're debuff/dots is in the 31-60 range on hunts/ST, since you won't see it in the mob's bar at all until you let it fall off completely, and then re-apply it while the enemy has under 30 debuff/dots on it.

It disabled everything I believe that wasn't your own? Didn't recall there being an option to filter it to your party only either.

In my time playing ninja, I've noticed that if I use Focus Target, the debuffs listed on the mob in the focus target window almost always pick Dancing Edge / Storm's Eye to show me, even if I didn't apply it. There must be some sort of importance sorting being done for Focus Target.

There can only be 1 storm's eye, it's one of debuffs I -want- to see as it is relevant to my damage and interacts with a debuff of my own.

I don't care, and never will care about the BRDs/SMNs/everygoddamnjobs DoTs, whether they're on, they're duration, anything, they're just clutter.

Yea that's how my debuffs work, they are the leftmost debuffs, and their timers are green.

I would like the antibody buff or whatever that keeps me from applying virus to be leftmost as well, I hate searching for that before i cast virus.

One bad thing about enabling this is, if you're a healer and you're targeting the main tank, you can't see debuff like Raven's Ascent (the debuff applied by Ravensbeak in T9).

Oh no, we can't have parsers, that'll just lead to bullying people for not doing enough DPS or otherwise sucking.

Oh no, we can't hide the soldiery message despite it basically only resulting in people getting bullied even if they aren't doing anything badly.

SE's priorities are a little backwards.

SE won't be able to control parsers once they release that long delayed API. Everyone is going to have a parser.
