I used to think dBSM was bad getting to 180. Fuck trying to get it to 220, the only real option is still the i200 esoterics GLD weapon and I've blown up more than I care for at this point. Could have already capped my WVR/GSM (205/210 atm) if I used esos on those instead.

How's the t5 weapon tome on your server? Ours just got completely bought out, 1 guy fills most of the viewable history but most were like 3k each.

You know...stuff like this makes me really wonder just how held together by 'duct tape' this client really is. SE always seems to have those weird little issues. I can swap from headset to speakers in damn near any other game without issue, but god forbid I want to while XIV running.

Oh boy, don't even try swapping Keyboard/Xbox controller, the thing is a mess a well with the controller drivers conflicting with the game client, making your character do stupid things such as auto run and the controller not answering all of a sudden..

To be fair, DirectX's implementation of audio hardware events is an abomination, and nearly as bad as the coordinate system.

On a different topic, I'm starting to strongly dislike Mentor Roulette. Most of the time it's something trivial, and then you get placed in a Duty from hell. Sunday, the other healer was using a Splintered Cane in Ifrit EX, which I don't quite understand, along with Ramuh Slaying jewelry. And they weren't even the worst player in the party, compared to the SMN that insisted on stacking with whatever healer had Searing Wind.

4 weeks since we started a7s. Got it down to 20ish % HP first week. Since then, it's someone has a real life issues and raids cancelled. Now our nin says he can only do 2 days next week and 1 day the week after. We already lose Tuesday this week with someone having a RL emergency an hour before raid than Friday other person has one an hour into raid.

At this rate I'll be lucky you be able to enter a8s before 3.4

pretty much where one of my groups is at. the other has enough people that we just swap people in and out as needed, but the first group... we're actually only at 7 people, since one of us burned out badly, so we've been picking up subs from other groups in our FC for a while. now one of us has had to cancel his sub due to RL, another just got a new job, i just got a girlfriend, and all of us are borderline burned out. it's not looking good, honestly. i think we'll be lucky to emerge from this expansion with all of us subbed, let alone raiding.

Yeah, I stopped coming to statics because of how burned out I felt coming to do the same thing over and over 3 to 4 times a week.

Similarly. However i keep comparing it to XI where acquired gear was literally good for years. Builds were a long term objective.

This game.. The process of BiS when gear is only good for 3 to 6 months max. I just dont see the point of raiding when that equipment is going to be outdated by the time the next patch rolls around and some groups may have only just gotten comfortable with the entire gauntlet.

I just do the mid tier stuff now. Its not like better gear helps me do things in the main world. Im not grinding to 240 to compete dungeons a moment faster.

Team didn't even want to enter A8S this week, went and cleared it with a PUG with Arthars Levi alt lastnight. Was nice to actually see the whole fight but now I gotta sit through probably another month or more of prog because my team doesn't look up and research phases of the fight and don't have a lot of drive to go in when we're missing people. Feels bittersweet.

That's where I'm at - and even then I've stopped playing as well. the only things to do is weeklies/dailies and those became a slog. Maybe when the new patch comes around I'll bother with said dailies/weekies, but right now it's not something I care about at all.

i filled my playtime leveling everything instead of raiding, and now that it is near complete will go back to subbing a month at time every other patch probably. it feels good to not even worry about capping tomes each week. cautiously optimistic about the random dungeon system coming, could be a nice change of pace that isn't tied to the ilvl grind.

Well we decided to replace our nin. Felt a bit shit about it as in same FC and not really the guys fault but he understood when i said it to him.

Learning pains adding skills into my rotation. I love/hate Armor Breaker and now it's getting used to Duality.

That and I'm running out of room on my 3 command bars
