Before you do that, please fix the description for Acceleration Bomb (only need to stop performing actions when the overhead marker appears during the final seconds of the debuff) and please don't assign the tanks to the blue orbs (waste of DPS compared to putting a healer there and pretty sure they do fixed/% damage anyway).
i explained the debuff to people who asked but yeah i suppose that's worth clarifying
the tank assignment is done because i don't trust pug healers to survive orbs
whereas a tank taking the hits is slightly harder to actually fuck up
it's mostly a pug basics suggestion, obviously not for people who actually have a damn clue as to how the mechanics work
and can you confirm the dmg being fixed/%? i could never look at exact numbers, but remember taking one orb and regretting it
edit: i just remembered i clarified the tanks eating orbs thing on the original post
sol why u do dis 2me
I think they messed up something with the hotbars... after I return to normal in A5 my hotbar 1 defaults to the pet hotbar instead of itself forcing me to switch.
This argument could be made to defend the "suicide if you have a meteor" "strat" though lol
You might have had a vulnerability stack, it goes off right before the orbs spawn.
The damage seems to be 60-70% of your maximum HP (before mitigation/vuln):
Also looks having multiple people soaking the explosion reduces the damage:
If so, just put the ranged players on the outer rim after the AOE vuln and they might not even need cures between the balls.
noooo no no no no nooo. there's a difference between making them jump off the rim and telling one of the dudes that has better chances of mitigating dmg
a huuuge difference - but still that's like, my opinion maaaan
isn't vulnerability caused by leaving the balls to burst on their own (aka aethernova)?
correct me if I'm wrong
additionally, thanks for the images, will add that whenever i get home
I don't remember if Aethernova applies vulnerability or not, but Ozma uses a donut-shaped skill that hits anyone who is standing on the circular part of the arena with vulnerability immediately after turning into a cube (including the middle section of the platforms).
Can you stand on the back of the Rectangle to avoid the Square Mode, Circle attack? We made everyone run to the front.
In my experience, the best place for Meteors is one to the back square platform and one to the left on the circle walkway, that way everyone can stand in the top right corner of the rectangle and keep attacking and the groups don't drop them on each other.
Which is why I said almost. As nice as it would be to have a FC with people that are competent. I already know it's not going to happen/the good players are in a static and bail after weekly caps
I'd welcome this to free up space on my hotbars.
Oh trust me, I know. I've had so many people not understand that "left" does not mean "right" that I'm ready to scream.
