We were lucky enough to get a run with PLD/SCH/SCH/SMN on 41-50 and spent the last 4 floors pulling half the floor. We did Manticore two of them, though. That run was extremely fast.

Pugilist, Arcanist, Machinist (me), Monk.

Pugilist pulls 2 full rooms of Dragons, Hellhounds and 2 Wraiths wandered over to join the fun. I'm not sure what they expected to happen lol, someone even ended up triggering a mob trap (unavoidable) so..yeah, been seeing this lately. Guess people think you could just out live some of it. X-pots are nice and all but it sadly can't be spammed D:

Leave it to df to outdumb SE's braindead content. Do df 41-50, end of 49 nobody has a single upgrade. Vote abandon, explaining you really don't want to waste a 41-50 save, not even being a dick and ditching which would be a dick thing to do if someone got an upgrade but no, completely screwed by rng and they wanna plow through anyway.

So I go ok, kick me then, /sit 10 feet from the portal, and say "afk", and they still don't kick. Bout to just log to an alt.

So why is it dumb to choose the guaranteed potsherd over the chance to make progress towards a weapon that's literal trash? Having to redo the run because the scrubs in my party vote abandoned over their lack of upgrades is what sounds like a waste to me and I can only hope they add silver chests to boss floors before this bs catches on.

That aside, is there a reason you didn't just drop the PT once the vote abandon failed? You basically handled the situation in the most pathetic way possible by pretending to go afk when the majority of the PT didn't agree with you.

OK. First, these guys did want weapons. You'd be right if people didn't care at all but these guys complained about the lack of upgrades, so that's out.

As far as your party abandoning in the same situation grats on having a party that's not retarded, even if you didn't figure that out.

As for why I didn't leave there's the 30 minute penalty first, and my suggestion was for their sake as much as mine. So was a bit in shock they were that dumb, and a bit hopeful they'd think about it a sec and figure out I was right. They didn't, oh well.

Which actually explains why I'm seeing more and more people doing dumb shit to wipe groups so they can keep farming 41-50 and actually only complete it if they get a good silver chest run.

So, if you clear 1-50, you have to start at 1 again, albeit with your current upgrades to weapon/armor.

If you stop at 49, you can just farm 40-49 for silvers without having to worry about going back through 1-39, correct?

You have to clear those 10 given floors for any progress to save, so you either do 41-50 and commit to the upgrades you got that run and clear it to start over again from 1, or you ditch and do that particular run again for hopes of getting more than the amount of upgrades you got last time.

And given a good half of silver chests are just traps in 41-50, it just adds to the problem.

Yeah, sometimes I think Yoshi's fear of this "becoming like FFXI" holds him back from making good systems. Like, there's nothing but "crashing" the materia market that will be a bad outcome. I mean, sure easy ilvl 235 weapons, but nidhogg has been out long enough that most people who wanted a 235 wep has it. Weeping City supplied Savage upgrade items already for the past month or so..so really, there's no reason to not let us chose our floors to progress. So yeah, stopping at 49 simply means, as said, you start back from 41 and any progress that last run is lost.

Also, these silver chests blowing up I swear to god a programmer just found a way to do that and just wanted to show it off. There's no reason for a god damn chest to EXPLODE ONTOP OF the chance of it being a mimic already. Like..ok cool, so what if you were solo, you stepped on a landmine and clicked the chest and basically killed yourself.

I like RNG but...lol.

Both healers in the raid group just transferred servers or deleted their characters without any notice or reason. Not a single message just that they're gone and found one on lodestone. Leaders are pissed and just don't want to bother with doing more recruiting.

At this point I would just call it quits until 3.4 if you're still in the process of learning 7 or 8 because the amount of time you spend learning those two fights with new people to get them back to where you were could take the duration of the release of the next patch.

If you're familiar with disgaea think of it like item world. Bad RNG? Best to do over. In fact, this is so much like that it's almost plagiarism.

Unless they're doing that on 49 with the full map shown it's probably still just stupid people being stupid. You do get to a point where 1 upgrade can be considered a good run.

Ehh, TGS is in 2 months and we know they're talking about 3.4 content there so unless we're missing something (like content being split into multiple patches again) I don't think the patch is going to be out before then. Two months is plenty of time to full clear a raid now with all the available guides, experienced players, free i240, etc. If they're just catching up a couple new players there's no way it would take anywhere near that long.

Two months is plenty of time to full clear a raid now with all the available guides, experienced players, free i240, etc. If they're just catching up a couple new players there's no way it would take anywhere near that long.
