I'm 0/6 on the tank pants so far this weekend, it hurts. Sucks still have to clear weekly for free materia, but necessary.

Been trying to get brd body for 2-3 weeks, and I don't think I've seen more than 1 or 2 brd pieces at all...

NIN in potd saying huton isn't worth it, doesn't even cast it between fights running through rooms. Beginning to think it was wishful thinking that potd would teach people their jobs before they ding 60.

It's because people hear "skill speed is bad" and think "speed is bad". Skill speed stat is bad because it's in fucking milliseconds. I remember gearing up NIN for final coil, it was a lot of the crafted gear to start, melded a bunch of sks to it and was disappointed it added nearly nothing to my parse.

This is the shit I deal with on Sargantanas.

His highest crafter is a 60 CRP, followed by a 51 CUL. The rest of his crafts are 20 or 15

My game suddenly started running like shit (went from max setting 60fps in everything to struggling to reach double digit FPS in dungeons) so I tried everything to upkeep my machine: Driver updates, cleaned it out, etc. Nothing helped. I opted for a clean install and now I cannot get the fucking client to patch. It hangs every time at

and crashes. There's a hojillion threads online about people having the same problem with the same error codes but not a single one of them is working as a fix. Why is it so hard to install this fucking game? Is there a master patch floating around I just am unaware of? This is ridiculous.

Is your computer just running like shit with FFXIV or does it extend to other games?

Too add on, use programs like CPUID HWMonitor and GPU-Z to see how your computer starts lagging. Whether or not your GPU throttles itself, or your CPU does the same. Check voltages and the like, could be a hundred different issues to figure out (I had one where my motherboard would automatically force my CPU to throttle down to 800 Mhz on all cores).

Nothing else on my machine was running poorly, just XIV. I'd have videos playing on my second monitor without issue, meanwhile XIV is chugging and the audio got all crunchy and shitty sounding. Watching just cpu/memory performances showed nothing out of the ordinary, with no spikes or anything. I'm at my wit's end: trying to install through a vpn didn't work, trying to install by fudging the .ini file doesn't work, there is seemingly no way to actually download this game.

The fucked part is that my roommate did a full install not a month ago with zero issues: downloaded and patched in under two hours. I've been at this for going on seven now.

Ah. Try Ccleaner if that helps after you've uninstalled FFXIV? In all honesty the quickest solution is a fresh install of windows. Aside from that I'd also be at wits end trying to figure out what's wrong.

I really don't want to have to back up and reinstall my entire OS just for the sake of being able to play a game that FOR SOME REASON CANNOT PATCH ITSELF TO A PLAYABLE STATE.

I've got a laptop that's patched to early 2015; Is there any way to just rip that out of the machine to skip the broken patch update on my main PC? It's late and I'm tired and kind of dumb at computers so I can't seem to figure it out. Everything I try just has it default back to trying to patch to the May2014 broken shit ass fucking part.

You can copy the entire folder over to the same spot and try. Version info for the client is stored within the same directory as the game exe's.
