I'm not surprised honestly, the simple fact it:
A. COPIES YOUR ENTIRE DATA EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU TRANSFER TO INSTANCE SERVERS
and
B. It counts as a character/job slot.
It'll never be fixed. Since your chocobo is "nobody" yet still takes a slot, it'll never be fixed. Even though the XIV community is so heavy against anything XI related, the trust system still feels far superior.
it is... but trusts still take up a party slot. ;3
don't stand by the pillars, ok guys?
*people stand by pillars*
don't kill the spiny, ok guys?
*people kill the spiny*
*Yuri-G begins twitching*
On the bright side, I've had so much duty finder pain lately that I've been inspired to actually try and create my first-ever static after years of playing both XIV and XI. never wanted to commit to something like that before, but I've just plain had enough! on a related note: if you are on Midgardsormr and want to farm ponies, let me know! or just look for my reddit thread in the Midgardsormr section.
that would be awesome. it always seemed to me like the companion system was designed to have multiple available options, not just a single chocobo.
I'm 20% into rank 19. If they do introduce another companion it better be useful somehow.
Though at fan fest they did talk about a gambit system fo4 compansions since thats how overworld mobs function.
ok, new least favorite quest! Recruiting the Realm. I found everyone in Limsa and thought "whew, that was tedious but at least it's over!"
...you want me to do what, Alphinaud? in Gridania and Ul'dah too?
Bringing Out The Dead ain't got nothing on this tedium, I tell you what
But how else will they sell jump potions?
You know, skipping this shit is the only valid use for jump potions in my book. I would be OK with jump potions that cleared all story missions but still required you to beat all dungeons and trials. I would be 100% OK with that.
Give us an alternative, do all of coil & tower and you can progress to heavensward or do all the bullshit 2.x series story quests.
I still question why the hell they thought stringing all the expansions together into a single story was a good idea instead of each having its own individual story line.
Makes them feel good about their shit story, shit dungeons and shit primal fights that have force wipe mechanics if you happen to be good at the video game.
Why do those have to be a thing jesus christ.
Forced wipe if you're good? Did I miss something?
Its a good idea in terms of lore and story building and making a more meaningful world but it has its issues that WoW has managed to find a way to sidestep.
In WoW you're just another dipshit adventurer. If you don't save the way then some other fucktard will. But in XIV you are the warrior of light. You are the only one that can go toe to toe against primals and ascians and all that other junk.
More than likely when they do introduce a jump potion (And its a when, not an if) it'll be something that comes with an x-pac (Much like how legion gives you a 100 token boost) and can only be used on a new character. And with that they'll have some sort of way to insert your character without having to elaborate on how you defeated some two dozen primals, stopped a second garlean invasion, and brokered peace between ishgard and the dragons.
stupid Shiva stupid stingy bitch didn't want your stupid awful ugly horse anyway *grumbles*
Spoiler: show
I think they increased the drop rates because I got the Levi, Shiva ponies by just doing Wondrous Tails second tries.
