random question because every time I google this subject, no matter how I phrase it, I can't find an actual answer:


what kinds of rewards do you get from Wondrous Tails? every single website I've found tells me how to run WT and when to shuffle, but none of them seem to list the actual types of prizes.

Every week its different, so you actually have to check with her to see what rewards are available. Generally it ranges from poetics/lore/scripture, to materia, to minions, to 5 slot materia i250 gear

They'll likely increase the drop rate by 3.55 unless they figure having the system of 100 tokens = bird is good enough to not lower it.

I'd bet money and say Bismarck - Thordan birds aren't getting any more buffs. But the other primals will get those same buffs.

99 tokens for a guaranteed trade in is pretty nice.

Are the 99 tokens trade in available for the newer primals? For some reason I think it was only for earlier (already buffed drop rate) ones.

^, for some reason it takes SE ages to update NPC lists to accept additional totems to purchase an item.

Since you know, it's not like their totems are already used at an NPC or anything....>.> Maybe in 3.5 they'll sneak it in.

I imagine 3.5 will give us Nidhogg and Sephirot purchasables, and then 3.55 will give us Sophia and Demon, to drag it out.

Got a new laptop so instead of running on basically bare minimums I could now run on max settings so decided to install. Logged in and realized fuck all saves server side. So no gearsets, toolbars, HUD, etc. Clicked through menus for about 5 minutes and then logged out in a huff. The fuck is this shit not saving server side.

You need to copy the last folder in this pic to the new pc:



The only thing that won't work from your old setup after that is your screenshot destination may need to be updated.

edit: it's really the FFXIV_CHR.... folder(s) under it, CHR for characters, if copying the whole thing is too much.

You can get pretty precise about what you copy over, too. For example, if you have an alt you want to have duplicate macros and UI and chat settings, but their own gear sets, you could just copy those files from your main to your alt.

Also, Yuri, Ravana EX is the best. It's almost a shame he's so easy now. Such a fun fight when it was hard. Still pretty fun cos dat music tho, but not AS fun. Don't even see half the mechanics anymore


edit: oh, with the character config files, they're not labelled by name or anything helpful like that. each character's folder is just a string of numbers. You'll need to look at the date the folder was created and use that to inform a series of trial and error experiments. Fortunately, the individual file for each type of setting IS actually named something useful. Don't remember offhand but they're not hard to figure out from the abbreviations, assuming you played with your settings and paid attention to the various categories.

Ravana was pretty good though Thordan does it better. Ravana's final liberation still eludes me and I'm glad I can just skip it.

I will say its really a shame Sophia ex is such a joke. Still haven't cleared Nidhogg ex and I've done Sophia ex enough time to buy 2 weapons.
